In de noordoostelijke hoek van de algemene begraafplaats van Sambeek staat een anoniem en ongedateerd GRAFKRUIS, dat waarschijnlijk uit het eerste kwart van de twintigste eeuw dateert.
Omschrijving
Het kruis is identiek aan kruis 525225: het in vergelijking met de overige kruisen brede kruis is vervaardigd uit gietijzer en opengewerkt. In het centrum is het beeld van een gekruisigde Christus aangebracht. Onder het kruisbeeld een engel. De kruisarmen zijn gesierd met gestileerde (maniristische) motieven.
Waardering
Het gietijzeren grafmonument is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een sociale engeestelijke ontwikkeling, in het bijzonder de ontwikkeling van de katholieke grafcultuur, het is tevens van belang voor de typologische ontwikkeling van het gietijzeren grafmonument. In the north-eastern corner of the public cemetery of Sambeek stands an anonymous and undated GRAVE CROSS, which probably dates from the first quarter of the twentieth century.

The cross is identical to cross 525225: the cross, which is relatively wide compared to the other crosses, is made of cast-iron and open-work. In the centre is the image of a crucified Christ. Below the crucifix image an angel. The cross arms are adorned with stylized (manneristic) motifs.
Valuation
The cast-iron grave monument is of general importance. It has cultural-historical value as a particular expression of a social and spiritual development, particularly the development of Catholic grave culture; it is also of importance for the typological development of the cast-iron grave monument.
