Rij van twee maal drie WOONHUIZEN, deel uitmakend van het complex van het distilleerderij-handelsentrepot "De Nederlanden", gebouwd in 1851 in Eclectische trant.
Omschrijving
De woonhuizen zijn gesitueerd aan de Lange Nieuwstraat aan weerszijden van het poortgebouw dat het achterliggende distilleerderij-handelsentrepot ontsluit.
De woningen zijn elk opgetrokken op een rechthoekige plattegrond en tellen twee bouwlagen en een kapverdieping. Het woningblok heeft een langskap-zadeldak bedekt met pannen en een roodbakstenen lijstgevel in kruisverband. De gevellijst heeft gedeeltelijk nog de originele gesneden voluutconsoles en een paneelindeling. De eenvoudig opgezette gevel wordt geleed door een reeks van smalle deuren met daartussen steeds twee schuifvensters met hardstenen onderdorpels op de begane grond en op de verdieping erboven telkens drie schuifvensters. Hier en daar bevinden zich nog de originele bovenlichten met glas-in-lood.

Description
The dwellings are situated on the Lange Nieuwstraat on either side of the gate building which provides access to the underlying distillery-trading warehouse.
The dwellings are each erected on a rectangular ground plan and comprise two storeys and an attic storey. The housing block has a long-slope gabled roof covered with tiles and a red-brick cornice-topped facade in Flemish bond. The facade cornice still partially has the original carved volute consoles and a panel arrangement. The simply arranged facade is articulated by a series of narrow doors with between them always two sash windows with sandstone sub-sills on the ground floor and on the storey above always three sash windows. Here and there the original fanlights with leaded glass are still present.

Dwellings, forming part of the complex distillery-trading warehouse "De Nederlanden", built in 1851 in Eclectic style, of general importance because of their cultural and architectural-historical, landscape-defining and ensemble value.
