Inleiding
De BOERDERIJ met woonhuis met ingezwenkte halsgevel en Vlaamse schuur met langsdeel behoort bij het complex Oudendijk 36 in de gemeente Korendijk. Beide onderdelen werden omstreeks 1880 gebouwd. Het woonhuis is opgetrokken in een Eclectische stijl, de schuur wordt gekenmerkt door een Ambachtelijk-traditionele bouwtrant.
De beide zijgevels van het woonhuis zijn in de loop van de 20ste eeuw verbouwd. Oorspronkelijk hebben in de linkergevel grote wagendeuren gezeten en werd een deel van de huidige woonkamer als wagenschuur gebruikt. De rechter zijgevel heeft een groot keukenraam gekregen.
De oorspronkelijk houten Vlaamse schuur is in de loop van deze eeuw versteend. De rechter zijgevel van de schuur is grotendeels veranderd; er zijn nieuwe vensters en een nieuwe deur ten behoeve van de bijkeuken, nieuwe schuifdeuren en matglazen vensters ten behoeve van een kiemschuur geplaatst. Het inwendige is de laatste decennia sterk gewijzigd. Aan de rechter zijgevel van de schuur bevindt zich nog een originele koeienstal. In de rest van de schuur zijn echter tegenwoordig koelcellen gebouwd voor opslag van aardappelen. Hierdoor is de spantconstructie aan het zicht onttrokken en zijn alle vensters geblindeerd.
Omschrijving
De schuur en het deels onderkelderde woonhuis hebben beide een rechthoekige plattegrond. Het woonhuis is voor het rechterdeel van de voorgevel van de schuur geplaatst.
Het woonhuis heeft één bouwlaag onder een zadeldak met wolfeind, bedekt met grijze Hollandse pannen. Op het dak staan twee gemetselde schoorstenen en een dakkapel aan de linkerkant. Het woongedeelte is boven een hardstenen plint opgetrokken in gele baksteen in kruisverband. De hoofdentree bevindt zich in het midden van de symmetrische, naar de dijk gerichte, ingezwenkte lijstgevel. Vóór de entree ligt een stoep met twee treden. De voorgevel telt vijf traveeën en wordt horizontaal geleed door een geprofileerde lijst onder de vensters van de begane grond en een geprofileerde cordonlijst tussen de begane grond en de eerste verdieping. In het bovenste deel van de gevel zijn sierankers aangebracht. Het fries onder de geprofileerde kroonlijst is versierd met vier rozetten. De voorgevel bevat beneden en boven getoogde vensters met T-schuiframen in een geprofileerde omlijsting met een decoratieve sluitsteen. Een vergelijkbare omlijsting staat rondom de hoofdentree. Deze bevat een paneeldeur met daarboven een snijraam met levensboom. In beide zijgevels bevinden zich muurankers, de rechter zijgevel heeft een origineel kelderraampje.
Het woonhuis heeft achter de hoofdentree een lange gang met aan weerszijden vertrekken. In het midden ligt ter rechter zijde onder de opkamer de kelder. Op de eerste verdieping bevindt zich de vliering.
De Vlaamse schuur die hoger en breder is dan het woonhuis is opgemetseld in rode baksteen in kruisverband en heeft een met riet gedekt zadeldak met wolfseinden. Alle gevels hebben eenvoudige muurankers. In de voorgevel van de schuur staat een dubbele mendeur met witte omlijsting, waarboven een getoogd venster met gietijzeren raam. In de bovengevel staat een halfrond venster met radiale tracering in het ijzeren raam. In de achter- en zijgevels zijn eveneens dergelijke vensters aangebracht. De linker zijgevel bevat naast twee schuifdeuren van recentere datum, eveneens een dubbele mendeur met witte omlijsting en kleine kruisvensters in beide delen. In de linker deur staat een kleinere deur (klinket) met witte omlijsting. Aan weerszijden van de mendeuren bevinden zich halfronde stalvensters met rollagen. De achtergevel is deels gedekt met asbestplaten.

De boerderij is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuurhistorische, de architectuurhistorische en de ensemblewaarde.

Introduction
The FARMHOUSE with residential building with curved neck gable and Flemish barn with lengthwise section forms part of the complex at Oudendijk 36 in the municipality of Korendijk. Both components were built around 1880. The residential building is constructed in an Eclectic style, the barn is characterised by a Crafts-traditional building manner.
Both side gables of the residential building were rebuilt during the course of the 20th century. Originally, large wagon doors were present in the left gable and part of the current living room was used as a wagon shed. The right side gable was given a large kitchen window.
The originally wooden Flemish barn was rendered in stone during the course of this century. The right side gable of the barn has been largely altered; new windows and a new door have been installed for the scullery, new sliding doors and frosted-glass windows have been installed for a seed barn. The interior has been heavily modified in recent decades. An original cattle stall remains on the right side gable of the barn. In the rest of the barn, however, cooling cells have now been built for the storage of potatoes. As a result, the roof truss structure has been hidden from view and all windows have been blanked off.

The barn and the partly cellared residential building both have a rectangular floor plan. The residential building is positioned in front of the right-hand part of the barn's front gable.
The residential building has one storey under a gabled roof with half-hipped end, covered with grey Dutch tiles. On the roof stand two brick chimneys and a dormer on the left side. The residential section is built above a hardstone plinth in yellow brick in a header-and-stretcher bond. The main entrance is located in the middle of the symmetrical, dike-facing, curved cornice-topped facade. In front of the entrance lies a step with two treads. The front gable contains five bays and is articulated horizontally by a moulded line below the ground-floor windows and a moulded cordon line between the ground floor and the first storey. Ornamental wall anchors are placed in the upper part of the gable. The frieze below the moulded cornice is decorated with four rosettes. The front gable contains arched windows above and below with T-sash frames in a moulded surround with a decorative keystone. A similar surround is placed around the main entrance. This contains a panelled door with above it a transom window with tree-of-life motif. Both side gables contain wall anchors, the right side gable has an original cellar window.
Behind the main entrance, the residential building has a long corridor with rooms on either side. In the middle, on the right side, the cellar lies below the store room. On the first storey is the loft.
The Flemish barn, which is higher and wider than the residential building, is built in red brick in a header-and-stretcher bond and has a thatched gabled roof with half-hipped ends. All gables have simple wall anchors. In the front gable of the barn stands a double manger door with white surround, above which is an arched window with cast-iron frame. In the upper gable stands a semicircular window with radial tracery in the iron frame. Similar windows are also placed in the rear and side gables.
