Inleiding
In de noordoostelijke hoek van de algemene begraafplaats van Sambeek staat een anoniem en ongedateerd GRAFKRUIS, dat waarschijnlijk vervaardigd is in het eerste kwart van de twintigste eeuw.
Omschrijving
Het kruis is identiek aan de kruisen met monumentnummer 525222 en 525348. Het opengewerkte gietijzeren grafkruis heeft in het centrum een afbeelding van Christus, die, met weggeslagen mantel en tuniek, Zijn Heilig Hart toont. Het kruis is verder gesierd met florale motieven en een kelk met hostie. In de voet zijn, staande, Petrus en Paulus afgebeeld.

In the northeastern corner of the general cemetery of Sambeek stands an anonymous and undated GRAVE CROSS, which was probably made in the first quarter of the twentieth century.
Description
The cross is identical to the crosses with monument numbers 525222 and 525348. The openwork cast-iron grave cross has in the centre an image of Christ, who, with mantle and tunic cast aside, displays His Sacred Heart. The cross is further adorned with floral motifs and a chalice with host. In the base, standing, Peter and Paul are depicted.
Valuation
The cast-iron grave monument is of general importance. It has cultural-historical value as a particular expression of a social and spiritual development, in particular the development of Catholic grave culture; it is also of importance for the typological development of the cast-iron grave monument.
