In de noordoostelijke hoek van de algemene begraafplaats van Sambeek staat het GRAFKRUIS van A. Nabbe (+1941), dat waarschijnlijk uit het eerste kwart van de twintigste eeuw dateert.
Omschrijving
Het ajour gietijzeren kruis heeft in het centrum de ingegoten, in vergelijking met andere kruisen, zeer kleine corpus van de gekruisigde Christus. De kruisarmen zijn gesierd met afbeeldingen van engelenkopjes en tarwearen.
Waardering
Het gietijzeren grafmonument is van algemeen belang. In the northeastern corner of the municipal cemetery of Sambeek stands the GRAVE CROSS of A. Nabbe (+1941), which probably dates from the first quarter of the twentieth century.

The openwork cast-iron cross has in the centre the cast-in, in comparison with other crosses, very small corpus of the crucified Christ. The cross arms are decorated with depictions of cherub heads and ears of wheat.

The cast-iron grave monument is of general importance. It has cultural-historical value as a particular expression of a social and spiritual development, in particular the development of Catholic grave culture; it is furthermore of importance for the typological development of the cast-iron grave monument. It has ensemble values as part of a larger whole. It has been preserved intact. As part of a coherent series of cast-iron grave monuments it is rare.
