Inleiding
Het TOEGANGSHEK staat aan de zuidwestelijke entree van Eikenhorst, deels geplaatst tegen de portierswoning Eikenhorst 5. De vroeg 20ste-eeuwse hekpijlers zijn Classicistisch van vorm.
Omschrijving
Twee betonnen geblokte hekpijlers met piramidevormige kussens zijn voorzien van ijzeren gehengen. Het oorspronkelijke hekwerk ontbreekt.
Waardering
Het toegangshek is van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuur- en cultuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van een ruimtelijk en functioneel onderdeel bij de historische buitenplaats Eikenhorst, die de entree van de buitenplaats aan de zijde van de Raaphorstlaan markeert.
