Inleiding
SCHUUR met voorgevel in een Eclectische, aan de Neogotiek verwante bouwstijl uit omstreeks 1860 staat op een open plek in het bos nabij de kruising van twee wegen, nabij het schiethuis van Raaphorst. De schuur stond oorspronkelijk op Huis ten Bosch te Den Haag en is eind twintigste eeuw naar zijn huidige locatie verplaatst. In 1994 heeft een algehele renovatie van de schuur plaatsgevonden, waarbij de voorgevel is gerestaureerd. De schuur is onder meer bestemd geweest voor het fokken van fazanten en de opslag van hout. De schuur staat nabij twee andere schuren.
Omschrijving
Vrijstaande houten éénlaagse bouwmassa op een rechthoekige plattegrond onder een zadeldak met gesmoorde Hollandse pannen en voorzien van houten boeiborden. De nokrichting is noordoost-zuidwest georiënteerd. De voorgevel is een symmetrisch ingedeelde puntgevel met in het midden een rondboogvormige deur, geflankeerd door een spitsboogvormige deur/venster. Elk van gevelopeningen wordt bekroond door een spitse driehoek. De middelste, waarbinnen zich een rondboogvormig luik bevindt, heeft een pinakelvormige decoratie op de top.
Waardering
De SCHUUR is van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuur- en cultuurhistorische waarde als redelijk gaaf en karakteristiek voorbeeld van een rijk vormgegeven schuur uit ca. 1860 met voorgevel in een Eclectische, aan de Neogotiek verwante ornamentiek. De voor opslag bestemde schuur heeft ensemblewaarde als ruimtelijk en functioneel onderdeel van de historische buitenplaats Raaphorst.

Introduction
BARN with front facade in an Eclectic style related to Neogothicism from around 1860 stands in a clearing in the woodland near the intersection of two roads, near the shooting lodge of Raaphorst. The barn originally stood on Huis ten Bosch in The Hague and was relocated to its current location at the end of the twentieth century. In 1994 a complete renovation of the barn took place, during which the front facade was restored. The barn has been used among other things for pheasant breeding and timber storage. The barn stands near two other barns.
Description
Freestanding wooden single-storey building mass on a rectangular floor plan beneath a gabled roof with hipped Dutch tiles and provided with wooden barge boards. The ridge direction is oriented northeast-southwest. The front facade is a symmetrically arranged pointed gable with in the centre an arched doorway, flanked by a pointed-arched door/window. Each of the gable openings is crowned by a pointed triangle. The middle one, within which a rounded-arch shutter is located, has a pinnacle-shaped decoration at the top.
Valuation
The BARN is of general importance because of its architectural and cultural-historical value as a reasonably intact and characteristic example of a richly detailed barn from c. 1860 with front facade in Eclectic, Neogothicism-related ornamentation. The barn intended for storage has ensemble value as a spatial and functional component of the historic country estate Raaphorst.
