Inleiding
Deel uitmakend van het sluiscomplex, zgn. 'Begraafplaatssluis' een SCHUILHOKJE gebouwd bij het zuidelijke sluishoofd tussen 1889 en 1891 in Traditioneel Ambachtelijke stijl.
N.B. De onderbouw van dit object is gedeeltelijk vernieuwd.
Omschrijving
Schuilhuisje bestaande uit een bakstenen en deels betonnen, kruisvormige onderbouw eindigend in een rollaag. Hierop zijn houten wanden geplaatst die bestaan uit gerabatte delen waarop het vierzijdige tentdak rust. Het zinken dak met piron heeft een als kroonlijstje uitgevoerde goot voorzien van een gekartelde rand langs de onderzijde.

Part of the lock complex, so-called 'Cemetery Lock', a SHELTER SHED built at the southern lock head between 1889 and 1891 in Traditional Craftsman style.
N.B. The substructure of this object has been partially renewed.
Description
Shelter shed consisting of a brick and partly concrete, cross-shaped substructure ending in a roll course. Upon this are placed wooden walls consisting of rabbeted sections on which the four-sided tent roof rests. The zinc roof with ridge tile has a gutter finished as a small cornice provided with a crenellated edge along the underside.
