Inleiding
Deel uitmakend van het sluiscomplex zgn. 'Begraafplaatssluis' een SCHUTSLUIS van het type Groene Sluis, gebouwd in 1886-1891 door de aannemers A. van der Meyden uit Hardinksveld en T. Swets Tzn. uit Ameide.
Omschrijving
Schutsluis met schutkolk tussen twee gemetselde, deels vernieuwde sluishoofden. De natuurstenen dekzerken zijn gedeeltelijk vervangen door een moderne afdekking in beton. Beide sluisdeuren hebben twee paar puntdeuren waarvan een paar naar de Lingeboezen en een paar naar de Zederikboezem gekeerd is. De mechanismen waarmee de deuren worden bediend bevinden zich onder zinken, pionvormige kappen, vier in totaal. Ieder sluishoofd wordt afgesloten door vier loodrecht op het hoofd staande keermuren die met basalt bedekt zijn. De houten deuren van het noordelijke en de zuidelijke sluishoofd zijn in 1956, respectievelijk in 1955 vervangen.
In het zuidelijke sluishoofd zijn twee paar schotbalksponningen geplaatst waarin, door middel van lieren, eikehouten schotbalken geplaatst kunnen worden.
De kolkwanden zijn met basaltblokken bekleed.

Description
Lock chamber with lock basin between two mortared, partly renewed lock heads. The natural stone coping stones have been partly replaced by modern concrete capping. Both lock gates have two pairs of pointed gates, one pair facing the Lingeboezen and one pair facing the Zederikboezem. The mechanisms by which the gates are operated are located under zinc, pioneer-shaped hoods, four in total. Each lock head is closed off by four keywalls standing perpendicular to the head and covered with basalt. The wooden gates of the northern and southern lock head were replaced in 1956 and 1955 respectively.
In the southern lock head two pairs of sluice-beam notches are installed in which, by means of winches, oak sluice-beams can be placed.
The basin walls are lined with basalt blocks.
