Omschrijving complexonderdeel 3
Ten oosten van de sluiswachterswoning aan de Straatweg gelegen vrijstaande houten SCHOTTENBALKLOODS van één bouwlaag onder een overstekend zadeldak met flauwe dakhelling, gedekt met gesmoorde kruispannen. De loods heeft een bakstenen voet en is opgetrokken uit verschillende soorten houten delen. De kopse voorgevel of zuidgevel is symmetrisch en bevat in het midden een dubbele deur van verticale houten delen. Ter weerszijden bevinden zich horizontale gepotdekselde houten delen. Het verticale beschot van de topgevel steekt iets over. De houten boeiborden worden bekroond door een makelaar. De achtergevel is identiek aan de voorgevel.
De beide zijgevels bestaan uit een houtskelet met stijlen en regels. Van binnen is het skelet betimmerd met verticale delen waartussen spleten zijn gelaten. De vakken van het skelet zijn op een aantal plaatsen voorzien van ruit- of kruisvormig geplaatste delen.
Waardering complexonderdeel 3
De schottenbalkloods uit omstreeks 1891 is van algemeen belang vanwege de waterstaatkundige betekenis als gaaf bewaard voorbeeld van een schottenbalkloods, gelegen bij de bijbehorende sluiswachterswoning en de Vechtsluis, gebouwd in opdracht van Waterstaat naar ontwerp van het bureau van Waterstaatsarchitectuur P.H. Kemper. Tevens vanwege de cultuurhistorische waarde als uitdrukking van en herinnering aan de geschiedenis van het kanaal en de waterverbinding met de Vecht. De schottenbalkloods is van ensemblewaarde vanwege de ligging de ruimtelijk-functionele relatie met de complexonderdelen, het Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal en de rivier de Vecht.

To the east of the lock keeper's dwelling on the Straatweg, a freestanding wooden PORTCULLIS-BEAM SHED of one storey beneath an overhanging gabled roof with shallow roof pitch, covered with dampened crossed tiles. The shed has a brick base and is erected from various types of wooden components. The end front elevation or south gable is symmetrical and contains in the middle a double door of vertical wooden components. On either side are situated horizontal caulked wooden components. The vertical boarding of the top gable projects slightly. The wooden edge boards are crowned by a makelaar. The rear elevation is identical to the front elevation.
Both side gables consist of a timber frame with vertical and horizontal members. From the inside the skeleton is boarded with vertical components between which gaps have been left. The panels of the skeleton are in a number of places provided with diamond or cross-shaped positioned components.
Valuation complex component 3
The portcullis-beam shed from circa 1891 is of general importance by reason of its water authority significance as an intact preserved example of a portcullis-beam shed, situated at the associated lock keeper's dwelling and the Vechtsluis, built on the instructions of the Water Authority to the design of the Water Authority Architecture office P.H. Kemper. Also by reason of its cultural-historical value as an expression of and reminder of the history of the canal and the water connection with the Vecht.
