IJSKELDER behorend bij de historische buitenplaats De Wittenburg in Traditioneel Ambachtelijke stijl uit het begin van de 20ste eeuw, aangelegd in de noordhelling van een kunstmatig aangelegde heuvel.
Omschrijving
De gepleisterde koepel met spitse top van de gemetselde kelder steekt gedeeltelijk uit door erosie van de heuvel. De ingang onder gemetselde rondboog is dichtgemetseld. Achter de entree een tongewelf met een lengte van 2,5 meter. Inwendig heeft de kelder onder het koepelgewelf, dat wordt geschoord met steunberen, een diameter van 85 cm en een hoogte van ca. 150 cm.

Vroeg 20ste eeuwse ijskelder van de historische buitenplaats De Wittenburg is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur-, architectuurhistorische en ensemblewaarde vanwege de historisch functionele, ruimtelijke en stilistische samenhang met de overige complexonderdelen en heeft typologische waarde als representatief voorbeeld van een gekoelde bewaarplaats op een buitenplaats.

ICE HOUSE belonging to the historical country estate De Wittenburg in Traditional Craft style from the early 20th century, constructed on the north slope of an artificially built mound.
Description
The plastered dome with pointed top of the bricked cellar projects partially through erosion of the mound. The entrance under a bricked round arch has been bricked shut. Behind the entrance a barrel vault with a length of 2.5 metres. Internally the cellar under the barrel vault, which is braced with buttresses, has a diameter of 85 cm and a height of approximately 150 cm.
Valuation
Early 20th-century ice house of the historical country estate De Wittenburg is of general importance because of its cultural, architectural-historical and ensemble value because of the historically functional, spatial and stylistic coherence with the other complex components and has typological value as a representative example of a cooled storage place on a country estate.
