Inleiding complexonderdeel 7
(Voormalige) DIENSTWONING behorend bij de historische buitenplaats De Wittenburg, gebouwd in 1899-1900 naar ontwerp van J.J. van Nieukerken in een aan de bouwstijl van het landhuis verwante bouwstijl (Hollandse Neo-Renaissance). Het pand ligt aan de westzijde van de basse-court.
Omschrijving
Pand van één bouwlaag onder zadeldak en steekkappen met tuile du Nordpannen gedekt. Rechthoekige hoofdmassa onder zadeldak met trapgevels aan de kopgevels. De gevels zijn opgetrokken in gele baksteen in kruisverband. Houten bakgoot op geprofileerde gootklossen. Segmentbogen boven houten puibalk. Schuifvensters met roedenverdeling onder natuurstenen lateien. Vensters met bakstenen kruiskozijnen en kleine roedenverdeling. Haaks op de westelijke gevel twee uitbouwen met trapgevel waarvan 1 met erker met afgesnoten hoeken.

De dienstwoning uit 1899-1900 behorend bij de historische buitenplaats De Wittenburg is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde:

(Former) SERVICE COTTAGE belonging to the historic country house De Wittenburg, built in 1899-1900 to a design by J.J. van Nieukerken in a building style related to that of the manor house (Hollandse Neo-Renaissance). The building is located on the west side of the basse-court.
Description
Building of one storey under a gabled roof and half-hipped roof with tuile du Nord tiles. Rectangular main mass under gabled roof with stepped gables on the end elevations. The facades are constructed in yellow brick in Flemish bond. Wooden guttering on moulded gutter brackets. Segmental arches above wooden reveal brickwork. Sash windows with glazing bars under ashlar lintels. Windows with brick cross windows and small glazing bars. At right angles to the western facade two projecting wings with stepped gable of which one with an oriel window with clipped corners.
