Bij het landhuis Nijenstede behorende GARAGE gebouwd in 1915 in opdracht van Ewald Behle naar tekeningen van de architectencombinatie J.T. Wouters en J.J. Brandes in een stijl die geïnspireerd is op de Engelse Landhuisstijl.
Omschrijving
Eenlaags pand met een vierkante plattegrond opgetrokken in rode baksteen onder een met leien in Maasdekking gedekt schilddak. Centraal op de nok een vierkante schoorsteen met decoratief uitgemetselde top. Het pandje heeft twee dakkapellen met gekoppelde vierruits vensters.
In de zuidzijde is de garagedeur geplaatst, aan de straatzijde (west) twee gekoppelde vensterpartijen.
Waardering
Uit 1915 daterende garage van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur-, architectuurhistorische en ensemblewaarde
- als historisch functioneel, ruimtelijk en stilistisch onderdeel van het vroeg twintigste eeuwse villacomplex Nijenstede;
- als een vroeg voorbeeld van bebouwing in het nieuw te stichten villapark op een deel van het voormalige landgoed "Oud Wassenaar".
Het pand is gaaf in hoofdvorm, materiaalgebruik en detaillering.

GARAGE belonging to the country house Nijenstede built in 1915 on commission of Ewald Behle according to drawings by the architects' partnership J.T. Wouters and J.J. Brandes in a style inspired by the English Country House style.
Description
Single-storey building with a square floor plan built in red brick under a hipped roof covered with slate in Maasdecking. Central on the ridge a square chimney with decoratively detailed top. The small building has two roof dormers with coupled four-pane windows.
The garage door is placed on the south side, on the street side (west) two coupled window units.
Valuation
Garage dating from 1915 of general importance because of its cultural, architectural historical and ensemble value
- as a historically functional, spatial and stylistic component of the early twentieth century villa complex Nijenstede;
- as an early example of development in the newly planned villa park on part of the former estate "Oud Wassenaar".
The building is intact in main form, material use and detailing.
