Inleiding complexonderdeel 2
Het gefaseerd tot stand gekomen U-vormig complex van DIENSTGEBOUWEN, behorend bij de historische buitenplaats Oud Clingendaal, bestaat uit een aantal geschakelde panden die in diverse periodes tot stand gekomen zijn. Door de vorm van het complex is een rechthoekig plein ontstaan waaraan de hoofdgevels van de panden liggen. Het oudste deel op de kop van de U-vorm is in een gematigde, aan het Neo-Classicisme verwante stijl gebouwd. Een later aangebouwd deel kenmerkt zich door een bescheiden Traditioneel Ambachtelijke bouwtrant. De in 1915 naar tekeningen van de architecten Wouters en Brandes toegevoegde garage met dienstwoning is een voorbeeld van een voor die tijd herkenbare Interbellum-architectuur. De bestaande panden kregen in het verlengde van deze verbouwing een "face-lift" waarmee getracht werd een coherenter geheel te vormen. De koestal met melkkamer in het langgerekte middendeel, kreeg in 1946 een woonfunctie.
De dienstgebouwen liggen zuidwestelijk van het huis. Aan de pleinzijde van de noordwestgevel zijn leilindes aangeplant.
Omschrijving
In een U-vorm geschakelde, eenlaagse panden met de hoofdgevels naar het binnenplein gekeerd. De linker poot van de U (noordoost) heeft aan de linker, kopse zijde een risalerend bouwdeel, heeft gepleisterde wanden en een uitzwenkend met gesmoorde Hollandse pannen gedekt schilddak dat deels is afgeknot. Dit bouwdeel bezit meerdere door de daklijst lopende dakkapellen met negenruits vensters onder een plat dak. De hoofdgevel van dit bouwdeel ligt aan het pleintje (zuidwest). Hierin zijn vier entrees geplaatst onder drieruits bovenlichten. Het risalerende geveldeel aan deze gevelzijde heeft een negenruits venster. Daarnaast bevindt zich een eenlaagse serre-achtige uitbouw met meerruits vensterpartijen in de drie gevels onder een plat dak. In de kopse zuid-west gevel van dit bouwdeel is een meerruits drielichtvenster geplaatst. Deze gevel is gedecoreerd met gebosseerde hoekpilasters. De gevel aan de noord-oostkant bezit een negenruits venster. In de gevel aan de zuidoostzijde zijn twee T-vensters met drieruits bovenlichten geplaatst, ter plaatse van de zolderverdieping bevinden zich drie zesruits vensters.
De lange gevel van het complex is opgemetseld in grauwe baksteen onder een gebroken schilddak gedekt met gesmoorde pannen. In de gevel aan de pleinzijde van het pand (noordwest) zijn meerruits vensters geplaatst en twee dubbele deuren. De rechter kopse gevel (zuidwest), is opgemetseld in rode baksteen en heeft een samengesteld, ingezwenkt schilddak dat met gesmoorde pannen gedekt is. Dit bouwdeel bestaat uit een in elkaar geschoven tweelaags en eenlaags bouwvolume. In de noordoostelijke gevel van het lage bouwdeel, aan de pleinzijde zijn drie garagedeuren geplaatst waartussen steunberen zijn gemetseld. De achtergevel bezit drie, paarsgewijs gekoppelde vierruits vensters waartussen eveneens steunberen gemetseld zijn. De uitbouw aan de zuid-oostzijde is opgemetseld in rode baksteen onder een met gesmoorde pannen gedekt zadeldak.
Waardering
De dienstgebouwen is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur- en architectuurhistorische en ensemblewaarde als complex van dienstgebouwen uit verschillende bouwperiodes die als historisch ruimtelijk en functioneel onderdeel, deel uitmaken van de historische buitenplaats Oud Clingendaal.

The phased U-shaped complex of SERVICE BUILDINGS belonging to the historical country estate Oud Clingendaal consists of a number of adjoining buildings that came into being in various periods. Due to the shape of the complex a rectangular courtyard has been created on which the main facades of the buildings are situated. The oldest part at the head of the U-shape is built in a restrained style related to Neo-Classicism. A later added part is characterized by a modest Traditional Craft construction style. The garage with caretaker's dwelling added in 1915 according to designs by architects Wouters and Brandes is an example of recognizable Interwar architecture for that time. The existing buildings received in continuation of this renovation a "face-lift" with which an attempt was made to form a more coherent whole. The cow house with dairy in the elongated middle section received a residential function in 1946.

The long facade of the complex is built up in grey brick under a broken hipped roof covered with dark-glazed tiles. In the facade on the courtyard side of the building (north-west) multiple-light windows are placed and two double doors. The right gable facade (south-west) is built up in red brick and has a complex, bent-in hipped roof covered with dark-glazed tiles. This building section consists of a two-storey and single-storey building volume fitted into each other. In the north-eastern facade of the low building section, on the courtyard side three garage doors are placed between which buttresses are built. The rear facade has three, four-light windows coupled in pairs between which buttresses are also built. The extension on the south-east side is built up in red brick under a gabled roof covered with dark-glazed tiles.

The service buildings are of general importance because of cultural and architectural historical and ensemble value as a complex of service buildings from different building periods which, as a historical spatial and functional component, form part of the historical country estate Oud Clingendaal.
