Bij de historische buitenplaats Blanckenburg behorende TUIN- en PARKAANLEG in landschapsstijl, die blijkens een gedetailleerde kaart van de buitenplaatsen Blanckenburg en Voorlinden uit 1843 toen in structuur en deels in detail aanwezig was. De parkaanleg direct rond het huis vertoont kenmerkende karakteristieken voor het oeuvre van J.D. Zocher jr en is mogelijk van zijn hand.
Omschrijving
De historische tuin- en parkaanleg kenmerkt zich door een gevarieerde ruimtelijke opbouw met een besloten ruimte aan de west- en noordzijde van het huis en een breed panoramisch gezicht over de weilanden naar de boerderij en het bos in zuidelijke en oostelijke richting. Vanaf de Buurtweg loopt een rechte oprijlaan naar het landhuis, in de noordwest hoek van het terrein, en eindigt daar in een rotonde. Ten noorden van de laan de rechthoekige voormalige moestuin met tuinmuur en toegangspoortje. De voormalige tuinmanswoning is ingrijpend gewijzigd. Voor het inrijhek buigt de laan af in zuidelijke richting naar het boerderijcomplex en de villa. De dienstwoning staat aan het begin van de laan aan de Buurtweg. De oprijlaan wordt door bomen en heestergroepen geflankeerd. Rond het huis een gazon met vrij jonge solitairen (eiken en kastanjes) in groepen en lijnen. Ten noordwesten van het huis een slingerende vijver met bossages (rododendrons en taxus) langs de vijver en enkele solitairen (beuk, linde) die de omtrek van de vijver accentueren. In de oksel van de vijver een mosheuvel met solitairen. Aan de zuidzijde van de laan een breed panoramisch gezicht over de weidegronden naar de boerderij en het bos dat de weidegronden omzoomt. Door de slingerende bosrand is een sterke perspectiefwerking gecreëerd waardoor het terrein groter lijkt dan het in werkelijkheid is. In het bos langs de duinrug (met grotendeels vrij jonge eiken) een rechte laan die zich voortzet in een formeel padenpatroon op het naastgelegen Voorlinden. Dicht langs de duinrug een gebogen pad met talud aan de buitenzijde. Voor het overige slingerpaden, ook in de andere bosgedeelten te vinden zijn. In de nabijheid van de moestuin een houten schuur en restanten van beukenhagen.
Waardering
De vroeg negentiende-eeuwse tuin- en parkaanleg behorende bij de buitenplaats Blanckenburg is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur- en tuinhistorische waarde als in structuur en deels in detail gaaf bewaard gebleven parkaanleg in landschapsstijl. De ruimtelijke opbouw met de afwisseling van open en gesloten ruimtes en met name de vorm van de vijver en de beplanting in dit gedeelte van het park duiden erop dat dit het werk van J.D. Zocher jr. zou kunnen zijn.
De hoge ensemblewaarde wordt ingegeven door de bijzondere ruimtelijke relatie met de ander complexonderdelen door de diverse zichtassen die door de perspectiefwerking zijn gecreëerd. Description
The historic garden and park layout is characterized by a varied spatial composition with an enclosed space on the west and north sides of the house and a broad panoramic view over the meadows towards the farm and the wood in southern and eastern direction. From the Buurtweg a straight access road runs to the country house, in the northwest corner of the grounds, and ends there in a roundabout. North of the road the rectangular former vegetable garden with garden wall and access gate. The former gardener's house has been substantially altered. In front of the entrance gate the road bends off in a southern direction towards the farm complex and the villa. The service dwelling stands at the beginning of the road at the Buurtweg. The access road is flanked by trees and shrub groups. Around the house a lawn with relatively young solitary specimens (oaks and chestnuts) in groups and lines. To the northwest of the house a winding pond with bosages (rhododendrons and yews) along the pond and some solitary specimens (beech, linden) which accentuate the perimeter of the pond. In the corner of the pond a moss mound with solitary specimens. On the south side of the road a broad panoramic view over the grasslands towards the farm and the wood which borders the grasslands. The winding forest edge creates a strong perspective effect which makes the grounds appear larger than they actually are. In the wood along the dune ridge (with mostly relatively young oaks) a straight road which continues in a formal path pattern on the adjoining Voorlinden. Close along the dune ridge a curved path with embankment on the outer side. Otherwise winding paths, also found in the other wooded sections. Near the vegetable garden a wooden barn and remains of beech hedges.
Valuation
The early nineteenth-century garden and park layout belonging to the country estate Blanckenburg is of general importance for its cultural-historical and garden-historical value as a park layout in landscape style that has been well preserved in structure and partly in detail. The spatial composition with the alternation of open and closed spaces and in particular the form of the pond and the planting in this part of the park suggest that this could be the work of J.D. Zocher jr.
The high ensemble value is determined by the special spatial relationship with the other complex components through the various sight lines created by the perspective effect.
