Inleiding complexonderdeel 1
Het in oorsprong laat 18de-eeuwse neoclassicistische WOONHUIS Blanckenburg van het type landhuis, behorend bij de gelijknamige historische buitenplaats, is in 1917 in opdracht van jonkheer J. Loudon zowel in- als uitwendig ingrijpend verbouwd in Neo-Barokke trant, naar ontwerp van de Haagse architect F.C. Koch.
Omschrijving
In neo-barokke trant gebouwd landhuis, met verdieping op kruisvormige plattegrond onder afgeplat, met leien gedekt schilddak met dakkapellen; de gevels alle met natuursteen bekleed en voorzien van hoeklisenen en friezen en omlopende kroonlijst, fronton boven ingangsgevel en bovengevel van de linkerzijvleugel te rechter zijde een "geknikte" lage vleugel, met rondboog- en zesruitsschuifvensters en afgesloten met een balustrade; de meeste vensters uit de bouwtijd. Aan de achterzijde een relif met de voorstelling van een zon boven de tuindeuren. Inwendig een gebeeldhouwde trap in Lodewijk XV-trant in de van stucwerk voorziene hall, een stucplafond en lambrizering in neo-classicistische trant in de grote zaal, een stucplafond en lambrizering met pilasters in neo-classicistische trant en een marmeren schouw in de eetkamer. The originally late 18th-century neoclassical DWELLING HOUSE Blanckenburg of the manor house type, belonging to the eponymous historic country estate, was substantially renovated both internally and externally in 1917 at the commission of jonkheer J. Description
Manor house built in neo-baroque style, with first floor on a cross-shaped ground plan under a flattened slate-covered hipped roof with roof dormers; all facades clad with natural stone and provided with corner stones and friezes and continuous cornice, pediment above the entrance facade and upper gable of the left side wing; on the right side a "bent" low wing, with round-arch and six-pane sash windows and closed with a balustrade; most windows from the time of construction. On the rear side a relief with a depiction of a sun above the garden doors. Internally a sculptured staircase in Louis XV style in the stuccoed hall, a stuccoed ceiling and panelling in neoclassical style in the great hall, a stuccoed ceiling and panelling with pilasters in neoclassical style and a marble fireplace in the dining room.
