Inleiding complexonderdeel 2
TOEGANGSHEK behorend bij de historische buitenplaats Ivicke is gesitueerd op de hoek van de Rijksstraatweg en de Rust en Vreugdlaan voor de oprijlaan, die met keerlus in westelijke richting naar het landhuis leidt. Het smeedwerk van het hekwerk komt overeen met een hek dat haaks staat op de westelijk zijgevel van het landhuis. De uitvoering van het hekwerk is evenals het landhuis uitgevoerd door de plaatselijke architect-aannemer G.J. van der Mark.
Omschrijving
Twee rechthoekige met Portland cement gepleisterd pijlers ter imitatie van zandsteenkleurige platen in Neo-Lodewijk XVI-stijl, worden gedekt door geprofileerde dekplaten. Aan straatzijde festoen in haut-reliëf. Aan ijzeren duimen een dubbel openslaand smeedijzeren hekwerk met decoratief krulwerk.

ACCESS GATE belonging to the historic country estate Ivicke is situated at the corner of Rijksstraatweg and Rust en Vreugdlaan in front of the drive, which has a turning loop leading westwards to the country house. The ironwork of the gate corresponds to a gate that stands at right angles to the western side facade of the country house. The execution of the ironwork, like the country house, was carried out by the local architect-contractor G.J. van der Mark.
Description
Two rectangular pillars plastered with Portland cement in imitation of sandstone-coloured panels in Neo-Louis XVI style, are topped with moulded coping plates. Festoon in high relief on the street side. A double casement wrought-iron gate with decorative scrollwork on iron thumbs.
