Inleiding
Buiten het eigenlijke kamp bevond zich de schietbaan, die werd gegraven door een strafcommando waarin vrijwel alleen joodse gevangenen zaten. Behalve als schietbaan werd deze plek tevens als fusilladeplaats gebruikt. Aan de zuidzijde net buiten de wal van de schietbaan was een lijkenhuisje gebouwd. Slachtoffers uit het kamp werden hier ondergebracht. In het zuidelijke bosperceel (thans golfbaan) zijn de slachtoffers in massagraven begraven. Na de oorlog werd aan het eind van de schietbaan het monument de 'Stenen Man' opgesteld als herinnering aan de slachtoffers. Van het eigenlijke kamp resteert slechts een klein deel waarop zich alle overige onderdelen bevinden.
Omschrijving
Restant KAMPAANLEG met SCHIETBAAN annex FUSILLADEPLAATS van het complex historisch oorlogsmonument Kamp Amersfoort. De aanleg bestaat uit twee aarden wallen waartussen zich de schietbaan bevindt. Aan de westzijde verbreedt de baan zich tot een met wallen omgeven kom. In het midden hiervan staat het monument opgesteld.
Waardering
Het restant KAMPAANLEG met SCHIETBAAN annex FUSILLADEPLAATS is van algemeen belang vanwege de gaafheid van de aanleg (schietbaan) en tevens van ensemblewaarde.

Introduction
Outside the actual camp was the shooting range, which was dug by a penal detachment consisting almost exclusively of Jewish prisoners. Besides serving as a shooting range, this site was also used as an execution ground. On the south side just outside the rampart of the shooting range, a mortuary hut had been built. Victims from the camp were housed here. In the southern wooded area (now a golf course), the victims were buried in mass graves. After the war, at the end of the shooting range, the monument 'Stenen Man' was erected as a memorial to the victims. Of the actual camp, only a small part remains on which all other components are located.

The complex consists of two earthen ramparts between which the shooting range is situated. On the west side the range widens into a bowl surrounded by ramparts.
