Inleiding
TOEGANGSHEK 'VREEDENHOF' tot de begraafplaats, behorend bij het complex 'St. Urbanuskerk te Nes aan de Amstel'. Het toegangshek is opgetrokken in eclectische stijl en is geplaatst bij de begraafplaats ten noord-westen van de St. Urbanuskerk en pastorie. De herkomst van het toegangshek is niet met zekerheid bekend. Volgens de overlevering is het hek omstreeks 1900 voor de begraafplaats gemaakt door een locale siersmid.
Omschrijving
Smeedijzeren toegangshek op betonnen voet, gesteund door schragen op betonnen voet. De twee centrale, naar binnen draaiende, gehangen hekken zijn gevat in een omlijsting met vleugels. Het toegangshek heeft naast spijlenhekwerk strakke geometrische vulmotieven, zoals meanders, rechthoeken en enkele krulmotieven. De twee vertikale delen van de omlijsting worden bekroond door smeedijzeren opengewerkte vazen. De boogvormige bekroning vermeldt in krulletters de naam: 'VREEDENHOF'. In het midden zijn kruislings geplaatste aren in krulvormige omlijsting geplaatst.

ACCESS GATE 'VREEDENHOF' to the burial ground, belonging to the complex 'St. Urbanuskerk at Nes aan de Amstel'. The access gate is constructed in eclectic style and is placed at the burial ground to the north-west of the St. Urbanuskerk and rectory. Description
Wrought-iron access gate on concrete base, supported by brackets on concrete base. The two central, inward-opening, hung gates are set in a frame with wings. The access gate has beside spire work strict geometric fill motifs, such as meanders, rectangles and a few curl motifs.
