Inleiding
IJzeren HEK tussen bakstenen pijlers als erfscheiding aan de straatzijde, behorend bij het complex 'St. Urbanuskerk te Nes aan de Amstel'. Het hek is gesitueerd aan de zuidzijde van het erf. Volgens de overlevering werd het hek gemaakt door een lokale siersmid.
Omschrijving
IJzeren hekwerk tussen bakstenen hoofdpijlers, in eclectische trant. Het spijlenhek, met smeedijzeren pijlers bekroond door een krul, is gevat in hardsteen en wordt gesteund door ijzeren schragen, gevat in hardstenen blokken die geplaatst zijn op bakstenen muurtjes, opgetrokken haaks op het spijlenhek. Aan de oostzijde is het hek gevat in een bakstenen pijler. De erfscheiding heeft een toegang bestaande uit twee draaiende vleugels, gevat in bakstenen pijlers. The spear fence, with wrought iron piers crowned by a scroll, is set in hard stone and is supported by iron braces, set in hard stone blocks which are placed on brick walls, built perpendicular to the spear fence. On the east side the fence is set in a brick pier. The boundary demarcation has an entrance consisting of two rotating wings, set in brick piers. The wings are spear fences with sloped tops and provided with scroll-shaped ornamental wrought ironwork and crowned by neo-gothic wrought iron ornamental cross.
