Complexonderdeel 6
Het aan de zijde van de Leusbroekerweg gesitueerde mogelijk laat-achttiende-eeuwse TOEGANGSHEK is omstreeks 1880 daar geplaatst. Het is afkomstig van het huis De Briellaerd aan de Achterveldseweg in Barneveld. Het hek markeert de noordelijke ingang van het park van de buitenplaats De Boom. Het hek staat op het zuidelijk landhoofd van een houten brug op ijzeren liggers voorzien van een eenvoudig ijzeren balusterhek. Het toegangshek bestaat uit twee geblokte natuurstenen hekpijlers op een gemetselde voet, en bekroond door een siervaas. Tussen de hekpijlers is een tweevleugelig smeedijzeren spijlenhek geplaatst en aan de buitenzijde een voluutvormig hekwerk. Tussen de twee hekpijlers ligt een natuurstenen dorpel.
Waardering
Het toegangshek is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde als gaaf voorbeeld van een van oorsprong mogelijk laat-achttiende-eeuws toegangshek, herplaatst in 1880 bij het landgoed De Boom. Complex component 6
The possibly late-eighteenth-century ENTRANCE GATE situated on the side of the Leusbroekerweg was placed there around 1880. It comes from the house De Briellaerd on the Achterveldseweg in Barneveld. The gate marks the northern entrance to the park of the country house De Boom. The gate stands on the southern abutment of a wooden bridge on iron stringers provided with a simple iron baluster fence. The entrance gate consists of two blocked natural stone gate piers on a mortared base, and crowned by an ornamental vase. Between the gate piers a two-leaf wrought-iron spear fence is placed and on the outside a volute-shaped fence. Between the two gate piers lies a natural stone threshold.
Valuation
The entrance gate is of general importance because of its cultural and architectural historical value as an intact example of an originally possibly late-eighteenth-century entrance gate, relocated in 1880 to the estate De Boom.
