Complexonderdeel 1
De HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG bij de buitenplaats De Boom dateert uit 1880. Het wordt gekenmerkt door een in landschappelijke stijl aangelegd parkbos voornamelijk in het zuidelijk deel van het park grenzend aan de Heiligenbergerbeek en met uitlopers in noordelijke richting. Het noordelijk deel van het park heeft een meer open karakter met bouwland en weidegrond. Het parkbos aan weerszijden van het hoofdgebouw bestaat uit een groot loofbos met brede lanen beplant met voornamelijk beuken. In de directe omgeving van het hoofdgebouw bevinden zich gazons, rhododendronpartijen, beukenlanen, zoals de oprijlaan vanaf de Arnhemseweg en solitaire bomen, waaronder een rode beuk ten oosten van het huis. Vanuit het hoofdgebouw heeft men via de gazons uitzicht op noordelijk gelegen boomgroepen en op het aan de overzijde van de Arnhemseweg gelegen koetshuis en jachthuis. Het grote gazon aan de zuidzijde van het hoofdgebouw biedt bovendien vrij uitzicht op het huis vanaf de Arnhemseweg. Binnen het westelijk deel van het parkbos is een nutstuingedeelte gesitueerd met een restant van de moestuin met bijbehorende tuinmuur, verder een oranjerie en schuren. Het park wordt van noord naar zuid doorsneden door twee rechte en een slingerende bomenlaan. De meest westelijke laan vanaf de ingang aan de Leusbroekerweg splitst zich halverwege. Vlakbij de splitsing staat een aantal zilveresdoorns. Aan het afgesplitste pad met een slingerend verloop staat een groepje bomen, waaronder verschillende soorten walnootbomen en nog een zilveresdoorn en verderop een groep Krimlindes. Vanuit het huis heeft men via een gazon uitzicht op deze boomgroepen. Op het gazon staat een zonnewijzer. Het slingerende pad komt uit bij de tweede rechte laan, het Schutpad genoemd naar de schut in de Heiligenbergerbeek, uit de tijd dat dit nog een snelstromende beek was.

The HISTORIC GARDEN AND PARK LAYOUT at the country estate De Boom dates from 1880. It is characterized by a park woodland laid out in the landscape style, principally in the southern part of the park bordering on the Heiligenbergerbeek and extending northwards. The northern part of the park has a more open character with arable land and grassland. The park woodland on either side of the main building consists of a large deciduous forest with broad lanes planted principally with beeches. In the immediate surroundings of the main building are lawns, rhododendron plantings, beech lanes, such as the approach lane from the Arnhemseweg and solitary trees, including a red beech to the east of the house. From the main building there is a view via the lawns onto northward-lying groups of trees and onto the carriage house and hunting lodge situated on the opposite side of the Arnhemseweg. The large lawn on the south side of the main building also offers a clear view of the house from the Arnhemseweg.
