Inleiding
DIENSTWONING in 1920-1925 gebouwd naar ontwerp uit 1920 van A.J. KROPHOLLER, in opdracht van het echtpaar Kröller-Müller. De woning is een van de zgn. 'Vijf Woningen' die de architect in Hoenderloo bouwde voor op het landgoed werkzaam personeel. In het pand woonde de rentmeester van het landgoed. Het huis is vrijwel gelijk aan Otterloseweg 314 en er is sprake van een stedenbouwkundige opzet, waarbij de beide panden spiegelsymmetrisch ten opzichte van elkaar aan de weg zijn geplaatst.
Het huis ligt met de brede voorgevel naar de Otterlose weg gericht, en is omgeven door een kleine tuin, met grindpaden naar en om het huis.
Omschrijving
De DIENSTWONING is opgetrokken op een rechthoekig grondplan en wordt afgesloten door een wolfdak belegd met riet en voorzien van gesmoorde nokvorsten. Op nok en achterschild bevinden zich eenvoudige kleine schoorstenen en in de achtergevel is een flinke schoorsteen opgenomen die ver boven het dakschild uitstijgt. De gevels met trasraam zijn opgetrokken in lichtbruine baksteen, gemetseld in Noors verband. In het metselwerk zijn misbaksels opgenomen. Binnen de gevels zijn meerruits vensters toegepast met buiten de raamstijlen uitstekende onder- en bovendorpels. Vensters, deuren en luiken kenmerken zich door zichtbaar gelaten verbindingen.
De VOORGEVEL heeft links een hoog in de gevel geplaatst gekoppeld zesruits raam (van de opkamer) met luiken, rechts hiervan bevindt zich een veranda, die met een grote rondboog en twee rechthoekige openingen naar de tuin opent. Het dak is boven de rondboogdoorgang iets opgetrokken. In de muur bevinden zich van links naar rechts de voordeur van het pand, openslaande zesruits tuindeuren geflankeerd door twee vierruits zijlichten, en een klein vierkant raam. Het terras is met gele klinkers bestraat. De RECHTER ZIJGEVEL heeft in de eerste bouwlaag van links naar rechts een groot 15-ruits raam (van de veranda), twee gekoppelde zesruits ramen met luiken en een hoog in de bouwlaag geplaats vierkant raampje met luik. De tweede bouwlaag is volledig voorzien van witgeschilderde gerabatte houten delen en onder het wolfeind bevindt zich een gekoppeld vierruits venster. De LINKER ZIJGEVEL is voorzien van een geveltop uit witgeschilderde gerabatte delen, waarin een vieruits raam geflankeerd door smallere tweeruits draairamen. In de eerste bouwlaag bevindt zich links een deur met vieruits zijlicht met luik, een hoog in bouwlaag geplaatst smal tweeruits raam en een boven het kelderlicht geplaatste deur met vieruits zijlicht met luik. De deur is te bereiken via een bordes met steektrap. De ACHTERGEVEL heeft van links naar rechts een vierruits venster met luik, het in de gevel opgenomen rookkanaal, vierruits venster met luik, een deur met een hieraan gekoppeld een vierruits venster met luik en twee enkelruits hoog in bouwlaag geplaatste enkelruits ramen. Het INTERIEUR bestaat uit kelder met opkamer, een begane grond en een zolderverdieping met droogzolder. De voormalige geitenstal is nu douchecel. The facades with ashlar are erected in light brown brick, laid in Norwegian bond. Mis-fired bricks are incorporated in the masonry. Multi-paned windows are applied within the facades with upper and lower sills projecting outside the window frames. Windows, doors and shutters are characterised by exposed connections.

The second storey is completely provided with white-painted rabbeted wooden parts and under the half-hipped end is a coupled four-paned window. The LEFT SIDE FACADE is provided with a gable top of white-painted rabbeted parts, in which is a four-paned window flanked by narrower two-paned casement windows. On the first storey on the left is a door with a four-paned side window with shutter, a tall narrow two-paned casement window placed high in the storey and above the cellar light a door with a four-paned side window with shutter. The INTERIOR consists of cellar with chamber, a ground floor and an attic storey with drying loft. The former goat shed is now a shower room. The interior has been preserved intact and contains among other things the original internal doors with fittings and handles, the kitchen tiling and a fireplace in which Maulbronner sandstone blocks are incorporated as consoles.
