Omschrijving
VILLA (1) met T--vormige plattegrond bestaande uit één bouwlaag, een souterrain en een zolder afgesloten door een omlopend schilddak gedekt met gesmoorde Hollandse pannen. De gevels zijn opgetrokken in bruinrode baksteen in kruisverband met een waterlijst op de scheiding van het souterrain en de beletage en worden aan de bovenzijde afgesloten door een gepleisterd fries, waarboven een bakgoot op klossen. De vensters worden aan de bovenzijde benadrukt door een getoogde gestucte schouderboog boven de bakstenen segmentboog. Aan de onderzijde bevindt zich een lekdorpel. De getoogde vensters van het souterrain worden afgesloten door een rollag. Verscheidene ramen zijn voorzien van een gietijzeren tracering. Tegen de achtergevel bevindt zich een eenlaags aanbouw afgesloten door een mansardekap met gesmoorde oud Hollandse pannen.
De symmetrische VOORGEVEL (oostgevel) bestaat uit drie traveeën. De middentravee bestaat uit twee bouwlagen afgesloten door een flauw hellend, met zink gedekt zadeldak met geprofileerde daklijst. Op de begane grond van de middentravee bevindt zich een dubbele glasdeur met gietijzeren tracering. Boven de deur bevindt zich het bovenlicht met gietijzeren roedenverdeling en smeedijzeren levensboom. Voor de hoofdingang bevond zich een steektrap die vervangen is door een nieuwe trappartij. Op de verdieping bevinden zich twee naar binnenslaande draairamen met dezelfde tracering. Zowel de ingangspartij als het venster zijn voorzien van een houten omlijsting. In de linker- en rechtertravee bevinden zich twee getoogde vensters waarvan de gietijzeren tracering grotendeels verdwenen is. In het souterrain bevindt zich in beide traveeën een getoogd kelderraam bestaande uit twee gekoppelde ramen. In de LINKERZIJGEVEL (zuidgevel) bevindt zich links één, rechts twee vensters aan weerszijden geflankeerd door persiennes. In het verlengde van ieder venster bevindt zich in het souterrain een getoogd kelderraam met oorspronkelijke tracering. In het dakvlak bevindt zich een dakkapel bestaande uit vier gekoppelde twee-ruits ramen afgesloten door een flauw hellend met zink gedekt zadeldak.
Links tegen de ACHTERGEVEL (westgevel) bevindt zich de éénlaags aanbouw met mansardekap. In de gevel bevindt zich een getoogde deur. In de rechterzijgevel van de aanbouw bevindt zich onder meer een getoogd ijzeren venster, een rondboog venster met ijzeren roedenverdeling en een deur met getoogd bovenlicht. Rechts in de achtergevel bevindt zich een acht-ruits schuifraam, een vier-ruits schuifraam en een getoogd B-venster aan weerszijden geflankeerd door persiennes. In het dakvlak bevinden zich twee dakkapellen als in de linkerzijgevel.
Centraal in de RECHTERZIJGEVEL (noordgevel) bevindt zich een dubbele deur met glasindeling en sierroosters met getoogd twee-ruits bovenlicht. Links en rechts van de deur bevindt zich een getoogd venster als in de voorgevel. In het dakvlak bevindt zich in het verlengde van de ingangspartij een dakkapel bestaande uit twee twee-ruits draairamen afgesloten door een flauw hellend zadeldak.
Het INTERIEUR is grotendeels in oorspronkelijke staat met onder meer beschilderde stucplafonds, binnenluiken, schoorsteenmantels, marmeren vloer, houten gesneden plafonds en een oorspronkelijke indeling van het souterrain.
Waardering
VILLA (1) gebouwd als hoofdobject van het COMPLEX `Kerkzicht' omstreeks het midden van de negentiende eeuw. Het complex is gelegen aan de westzijde van de Rijksstraatweg.
- Van architectuurhistorische waarde als goed voorbeeld van een villa uit het midden van de negentiende eeuw waarvan het interieur voor een groot deel nog in een oorspronkelijke staat verkeert.

Description
VILLA (1) with T-shaped ground plan consisting of one storey, a basement and an attic enclosed by a surrounding hipped roof covered with laid Hollandse tiles. The facades are constructed in reddish-brown brick in English bond with a drip moulding on the division between the basement and the main floor and are closed off at the top by a plastered frieze, above which a rain gutter on corbels. The windows are emphasised at the top by a curved plastered shoulder arch above the brick segmental arch. At the bottom there is a lekdorpel. The curved windows of the basement are closed off by a roller shutter. Several frames are provided with cast-iron glazing. Against the rear facade there is a single-storey extension enclosed by a mansard roof covered with laid old Hollandse tiles.
The symmetrical FRONT FACADE (east facade) consists of three bays. The central bay consists of two storeys enclosed by a shallow-pitched, zinc-covered gabled roof with moulded eaves line. On the ground floor of the central bay there is a double glass door with cast-iron glazing. Above the door is the fanlight with cast-iron glazing bars and wrought-iron tree of life. In front of the main entrance there was a flight of steps which has been replaced by a new staircase. On the first floor there are two inward-opening casement windows with the same glazing. Both the entrance section and the window are provided with a wooden surround. In the left and right bays there are two curved windows of which the cast-iron glazing is largely missing. In the basement there is in both bays a curved basement window consisting of two coupled windows. In the LEFT SIDE FACADE (south facade) there is on the left one, on the right two windows flanked on either side by shutters. In line with each window there is in the basement a curved basement window with original glazing. In the roof plane there is a dormer consisting of four coupled two-pane windows enclosed by a shallow-pitched, zinc-covered gabled roof.
On the left against the REAR FACADE (west facade) there is the single-storey extension with mansard roof. In the facade there is a curved door. In the right side facade of the extension there is among other things a curved iron window, a round-arch window with iron glazing bars and a door with curved fanlight. On the right in the rear facade there is an eight-pane sash window, a four-pane sash window and a curved B-window flanked on either side by shutters. In the roof plane there are two dormers as in the left side facade.
Centrally in the RIGHT SIDE FACADE (north facade) there is a double door with glass division and decorative grilles with curved two-pane fanlight. To the left and right of the door there is a curved window as in the front facade. In the roof plane in line with the entrance section there is a dormer consisting of two two-pane casement windows enclosed by a shallow-pitched gabled roof.
The INTERIOR is largely in original state with among other things painted stucco ceilings, internal shutters, chimney mantels, marble floor, carved wooden ceilings and an original division of the basement.
Valuation
VILLA (1) built as the principal building of the COMPLEX 'Kerkzicht' around the middle of the nineteenth century. The complex is located on the west side of the Rijksstraatweg.
