De in kruisverband gemetselde bakstenen FABRIKANTENVILLA is opgetrokken op een rechthoekige plattegrond. Het gebouw telt twee bouwlagen onder een met platte Friese pan gedekt, afgeplat schilddak met op het noorden een halsgevel. De nokken van het dak zijn voorzien van een geprofileerde daklijst. Het dak heeft op vier zijden een dakkapel. Het voorschild (noorden) en het linker dakschild hebben een dakkapel met twee gekoppelde enkelruits ramen en enkelruits bovenlicht onder een plat dak met aan weerskanten gesneden houten klauwstukken. Het achterschild heeft een dakkapel onder een plat dak afgesloten door een fries met kroonlijst en heeft twee gekoppelde enkelruits ramen. In het rechter dakschild zit in het midden een dakkapel onder een plat dak voorzien van een fries en een geprofileerde kroonlijst met aan de voorzijde een timpaan en aan weerszijden klauwstukken voorzien van voluten. Het tweeruits raam heeft een halfrond bovenlicht en wordt afgesloten door een strek met aanzet en sluitsteen.
De gevels hebben een horizontale geleding met een geschilderde plint, speklagen die ter plaatse van de pilasters uitkragen en aan bovenzijde een gekornist fries met het centre-lis motief en een geprofileerde kroonlijst. De scheiding van de verdiepingen wordt langs de voor en zijgevels gemarkeerd door een gekorniste cordonlijst met een decoratief bakstenen fries. Op de hoeken van de voor- en zijgevels bevinden zich pilasters.
Het gebouw heeft aan de achterzijde een moderne aanbouw die niet voor bescherming in aanmerking komt. De asymmetrisch ingedeelde VOORGEVEL (noorden) heeft rechts een risaliet eindigend in een halsgevel waarin twee smalle ramen met een halfrond afgesloten bovenlicht voorzien van een segmentboog met aanzet- en sluitsteen. Hierboven bevindt zich een geprofileerde kroonlijst waarboven een gebroken fronton gedragen door bakstenen pilasters. In de uitsparing van het fronton bevindt zich een niet oorspronkelijke piron. De halsgevel heeft aan weerszijden klauwstukken met voluten rustend op een bakstenen muurtje waarnaast een sokkel met een obelisk.
De risaliet heeft op de begane grond een schuifvenster met bovenlicht en wordt afgesloten door een blinde segmentboog met aanzet- en sluitsteen. De boogtrommel is opgevuld met decoratieve tegels. Op de verdieping bevindt zich een tweeruits stolpraam met bovenlicht dat aan de bovenzijde wordt afgesloten door een kroonlijst waarboven een hanekam. In het fries tussen de eerste en tweede verdieping staat met zwarte letters "BEUKENHOF" vermeld.
Het linkerdeel van de voorgevel bevat twee traveeën met op de begane grond en op de verdieping vensters van hetzelfde type als in de risaliet. Onder de ramen van de beneden verdieping bevinden zich gepleisterde vakken voorzien van het centre-lis motief.
De LINKER ZIJGEVEL heeft rechts in de gevel een houten serre onder een plat dak dat wordt afgesloten door een fries en een kroonlijst. Onder het fries bevindt zich een rij originele glas-in-lood ramen. De vensters in deze gevel zijn van hetzelfde type als in de voorgevel. Tegen de ACHTERGEVEL bevindt zich een uitbouw met een tweelaags middendeel onder een plat dak ter plaatse waarvan zich het trappenhuis bevindt. Hierin zitten op de verdieping twee hoge, gekoppelde ramen met bovenlicht waarin glas in lood. De verdieping heeft aan weerszijden van de uitbouw een dichtgezet raam dat aan de bovenzijde wordt afgesloten door een geprofileerde kroonlijst en een hanekam. De begane grond heeft twee niet oorspronkelijke ramen en een moderne aanbouw die niet voor bescherming in aanmerking komt.
De symmetrisch ingedeelde RECHTER ZIJGEVEL heeft een benadrukte middenpartij met aan weerszijden pilasters. Op de begane grond van de middenpartij bevindt zich een entree bestaande uit een stoep en een dubbele paneeldeur met glas in het bovenpaneel en een halfrond bovenlicht afgesloten door een half cirkelboog. Op de verdieping bevindt zich een tweeruits stolpraam met enkelruits bovenlicht afgesloten door een blinde segmentboog met aanzet- en sluitsteen. De boogtrommel is opgevuld met decoratieve tegels. De vensters in de linker en rechter travee zijn van hetzelfde type als in de voorgevel.
De indeling van het INTERIEUR op de begane grond en de verdieping is nog grotendeels oorspronkelijk. Op de begane grond bevindt zich een L-vormige gang met trappenhuis.Het gebouw is deels onderkelderd. In de woonkamer en de salon zitten nog de originele kozijnen en vensterbanken. Tussen de woonkamer en de serre zitten schuifdeuren. Het trappenhuis bezit de originele wandtegels met Jugendstil motief.
Waardering
FABRIKANTENVILLA uit 1893 gebouwd in opdracht van de fabrikant Herman Driessen.

The MANUFACTURERS' VILLA, built in brick in crossbond, is erected on a rectangular ground plan. The building has two storeys under a hipped roof covered with flat Frisian tiles with a neck gable on the north side. The roof ridges are provided with a moulded roof edge. The roof has a dormer on four sides. The north gable and the left roof gable have a dormer with two paired single-light windows and single-light fanlight under a flat roof with carved wooden claw pieces on either side. The rear gable has a dormer under a flat roof closed by a frieze with cornice and has two paired single-light windows. In the right roof gable there is in the centre a dormer under a flat roof provided with a frieze and a moulded cornice with a pediment on the front and claw pieces with volutes on either side. The two-light window has a semi-circular fanlight and is closed by an arch with springer and voussoir.
The facades have horizontal articulation with a painted plinth, speckled courses that project at the location of the pilasters and at the top a moulded frieze with the centre-lis motif and a moulded cornice. The division of the storeys is marked along the front and side facades by a moulded stringcourse with a decorative brick frieze. On the corners of the front and side facades there are pilasters.
The building has a modern extension on the rear side which is not eligible for protection. The asymmetrically arranged FRONT FACADE (north) has on the right a risalit ending in a neck gable in which two narrow windows with a semi-circular fanlight provided with a segmental arch with springer and voussoir. Above this is a moulded cornice above which a broken pediment carried by brick pilasters. In the recess of the pediment is a non-original finial. The neck gable has claw pieces with volutes resting on either side on a brick wall, next to which is a plinth with an obelisk.
The risalit has on the ground floor a sash window with fanlight and is closed by a blind segmental arch with springer and voussoir. The arch drum is filled with decorative tiles. On the upper floor there is a two-light sash window with fanlight that is closed at the top by a cornice above which a crested roof ridge. In the frieze between the first and second storey "BEUKENHOF" is marked in black letters.
The left part of the front facade contains two bays with on the ground floor and on the upper floor windows of the same type as in the risalit. Below the windows of the lower storey are plastered panels provided with the centre-lis motif.
The LEFT SIDE FACADE has on the right in the facade a wooden conservatory under a flat roof that is closed by a frieze and a cornice. Below the frieze there is a row of original leaded-light windows. The windows in this facade are of the same type as in the front facade. Against the REAR FACADE there is an extension with a two-storey central section under a flat roof at the location of which the stairwell is situated. In this there are on the upper floor two high, paired windows with fanlight with leaded glass. The upper floor has on either side of the extension a blocked window that is closed at the top by a moulded cornice and a crested roof ridge. The ground floor has two non-original windows and a modern extension which is not eligible for protection.
The symmetrically arranged RIGHT SIDE FACADE has an emphasised central section with pilasters on either side. On the ground floor of the central section there is an entrance consisting of a stoop and a double panelled door with glass in the upper panel and a semi-circular fanlight closed by a semi-circular arch. On the upper floor there is a two-light sash window with single-light fanlight closed by a blind segmental arch with springer and voussoir. The arch drum is filled with decorative tiles. The windows in the left and right bay are of the same type as in the front facade.
The layout of the INTERIOR on the ground floor and upper floor is still largely original. On the ground floor there is an L-shaped corridor with stairwell. The building is partly cellaried. In the living room and the salon the original window frames and window sills are still present. Between the living room and the conservatory there are sliding doors. The stairwell has the original wall tiles with Art Nouveau motif.
Valuation
MANUFACTURERS' VILLA built in 1893 on the commission of manufacturer Herman Driessen.
- Of architectural historical value as a good example of a manufacturers' villa erected in neo-Renaissance style from the end of the nineteenth century.
