Omschrijving
Omschrijving onderdeel 13: PORTIERSWONING (Groenendaal).
Portierswoning uit het eerste kwart van de 19de-eeuw gelegen aan de Herenweg, naast het hek met burchten dat de Sparrenlaan ontsluit. Kleine L-vormige woning van één bouwlaag onder schilddak, gebouwd in de stijl van Zocher. Het geheel is gepleisterd. Op de kopse gevels karakteristieke indeling met gekoppelde pilasters en vensterpartij met halfrond bovenlicht boven latei. Enkele vensters hebben nog de roedeverdeling in ruitpatroon. Bij een gasontploffing (20c/d) is het huis beschadigd en daarna hersteld.
Waardering
De portierswoning is van belang:
- vanwege de functionele waarde op de buitenplaats;
- vanwege zijn karakteristieke ligging in relatie tot het toegangshek;

Description
Description of component 13: PORTER'S LODGE (Groenendaal).
Porter's lodge from the first quarter of the 19th century located on the Herenweg, beside the gate with turrets that opens onto the Sparrenlaan. Small L-shaped dwelling of one storey under a hipped roof, built in the style of Zocher. The whole is plastered. On the end facades characteristic arrangement with coupled pilasters and window section with semicircular fanlight above lintel. Some windows still retain the glazing bars in lattice pattern. Following a gas explosion (20th century) the house was damaged and subsequently repaired.
Valuation
The porter's lodge is of significance:
- because of its functional value on the country estate;
- because of its characteristic location in relation to the entrance gate;
- because of the architecture in the style of Zocher.
