Inleiding
Houten TUINHUISJE ('Mytyl') met elementen uit de Amsterdamse schoolstijl, vermoedelijk gebouwd naar ontwerp uit 1917-1918 van architect P.L. Kramer. Het object is gesitueerd in de tuin van het door deze architect in dezelfde tijd ontworpen bakstenen huis 'Tyltyl' (thans 'De Hut') en maakt onderdeel uit van het villapark Meerwijk te Bergen, dat tussen 1915-1918 op initiatief van de Amsterdamse tegelfabrikant Arnold M.A. Heystee tot stand is gekomen.
Omschrijving
Tuinhuisje op rechthoekige grondslag waarvan de hoofdvorm grotendeels wordt bepaald door het expressieve, met riet gedekte, laag doorgetrokken schilddak met gebogen dakschilden en gesmoorde keramische nokvorsten. Het object is opgetrokken in liggende houten delen op een lage bakstenen plint. De staande houten vensters worden door een liggende roede gedeeld. De ingang bevindt zich in de lange zuidwestelijke zijgevel die naar het huis gericht is. Ter plaatse van de deur en drie gekoppelde vensters links daarvan, is het rieten dak opgetrokken. De houten deur bestaat uit een onder- en een bovendeur waarin een centraal geplaatst driehoekig kijkruitje. Voor de deur een stoep van rode tegels. Rechts van de deur een klein houten venster in het rieten dakschild. Uit het noordoostelijke brede dakschild steekt een smalle, hoge gemetselde schoorsteen. Garden cottage on a rectangular base of which the main form is largely determined by the expressive, reed-thatched, low extended hipped roof with curved roof tiles and bent ceramic roof ridge.
