VERENIGINGSGEBOUW van de padvinders uit 1921 in de stijl van de Amsterdamse School naar ontwerp van de architect J. van Laren.
Het pand ligt op de hoek van de Schuttersweg en de Sterrelaan.
Omschrijving
Verenigingsgebouw van één bouwlaag op rechthoekige plattegrond onder hoog parabolisch schilddak met rode Hollandse pannen en aan de noordzijde een rechthoekig plat afgedekt bouwvolume met overstek. De gevels zijn opgetrokken in bruine baksteen met op de hoeken rond gemetselde taps toelopende steunberen. In de west-, zuid- en oostgevel rechthoekige vensterpartijen met luiken. De voorgevel (W) van het plat afgedekte bouwvolume bevat de parabolisch gevormde houten deur in Amsterdamse school-trant. Rechts daarvan in de voorgevel van het hoofdvolume een rechtgesloten eenvoudige opgeklampte deur onder een drieledig venster in het dakschild. Eenzelfde venster bevindt zich in het dakschild boven de achtergevel (O). Aan de zuidgevel een rechthoekig uitgebouwde erker met hoekvensters aan weerszijden van een hoge forse taps toelopende schoorsteenpartij met siermetselwerk in de top. Tegen de noordgevel een vaste gemetselde zitbank.
Op de nok van het dak twee kleine overhoeks geplaatste ventilatiekokers met horizontale latten.

Het uit 1921 daterende padvindershuis is van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuur- en cultuurhistorische waarde als gaaf en representatief voorbeeld van een verenigingsgebouw in de stijl van de Amsterdamse School, kenmerkend voor het oeuvre van de architect J. van Laren, en tevens vanwege de typologische zeldzaamheidswaarde. Het pand is beeldbepalend gesitueerd op de hoek van de Schuttersweg en de Sterrelaan.

Description
Association building of one storey on a rectangular plan under a high parabolic hipped roof with red Dutch tiles and on the north side a rectangular flat-roofed building volume with overhang. The facades are constructed in brown brick with tapered buttresses with rounded angles at the corners. In the west, south and east facades rectangular window groups with shutters. The front facade (W) of the flat-roofed building volume contains the parabolically shaped wooden door in Amsterdam School style. To the right of this in the front of the main volume a simple bolted door under a three-part window in the roof section. An identical window is located in the roof section above the rear facade (E). At the south facade a rectangular projecting bay window with corner windows on either side of a high strong tapered chimney section with ornamental brickwork at the top. Against the north facade a fixed mortared bench.
On the ridge of the roof two small ventilation ducts placed diagonally with horizontal slats.
