Inleiding
WOONHUIS uit 1855 in eclectische trant met neo-classicistische detaillering. De eerste steen is gelegd door C.E.C. Grim op 22 maart 1855. De serre aan de voorgevel is waarschijnlijk omstreeks 1900 aangebouwd. Het pand ligt iets verhoogd langs de 's-Gravelandseweg, met de langsgevels evenwijdig aan de straat.
Omschrijving
Symmetrisch opgezet woonhuis van één bouwlaag en kapverdieping op rechthoekige plattegrond met witgepleisterde gevels onder een zadeldak met gesmoorde Hollandse pannen, waarvan de noklijn evenwijdig aan de weg ligt. Boven de korte eindgevels houten kroonlijsten met gebogen frontons en aan de langsgevels een geprofileerde houten gootlijst. Beganegronds T-schuifvensters en in de geveltoppen vierruitsvensters onder in blokken gepleisterde hanekammen.
In het midden van de symmetrische voorgevel (NO) een grote houten serre en aan weerszijden een venster. Vanuit de gevel geven twee dubbele deuren toegang tot de serre met een decoratieve roedenverdeling en sierglas in de vensters. In de linker zijgevel (ZO) de deur onder bovenlicht, geflankeerd door twee vensters en in de geveltop twee vierruits vensters. De rechter zijgevel (NW) bevat beganegronds twee vensters en twee vierruits vensters in de geveltop. In de achtergevel (ZW) drie dubbele glasdeuren naar de tuin, en in het midden een roosvenster. Op de nok van het dak twee gepleisterde schoorstenen.

Description
Symmetrically arranged residence of one storey and attic storey on rectangular floor plan with whitewashed facades under a gabled roof with hipped Dutch tiles, with the roof ridge parallel to the road. Above the short end elevations wooden cornices with curved pediments and on the side elevations a profiled wooden gutter moulding. On the ground floor T-shaped sash windows and in the gable tops four-pane windows beneath plaster-blocked decorative gables.
In the centre of the symmetrical front elevation (NE) a large wooden conservatory and on either side a window. From the elevation two double doors provide access to the conservatory with decorative glazing bars and ornamental glass in the windows. In the left side elevation (SE) the door beneath a fanlight, flanked by two windows and in the gable top two four-pane windows. The right side elevation (NW) contains on the ground floor two windows and two four-pane windows in the gable top. In the rear elevation (SW) three double glass doors towards the garden, and in the centre a rose window. On the ridge of the roof two plastered chimneys.
Valuation
The mid-nineteenth-century residence is of general importance because of its cultural and architectural-historical value as a largely intact and representative example of early villa construction along the 's-Gravelandseweg, executed in a combination of eclectic building style with neo-classical detailing characteristic of its building period.
