Inleiding
Voormalige VERVERIJEN , behorende tot het fabriekscomplex 'Groest 104-106', gebouwd in de negentiende eeuw in Neo-Renaissancistische bouwtrant en beeldbepalend gesitueerd aan de westzijde van de Groest in het centrum van Hilversum. De voormalige ververijen zijn naar achteren geplaatst, ten zuiden van het voormalige fabrieksgedeelte.
Omschrijving
Voormalige ververijen, in één pand, opgetrokken op een rechthoekige plattegrond ter hoogte van één bouwlaag onder zadeldak met de noklijn haaks op de weg en bedekt met zwarte Hollandse pannen. De baksteen buitengevels zijn gepleisterd. De bakgoot steunt op ijzeren schoren. De noordgevel bevat ijzeren rondboogvensters en houten deuren. De oostgevel is blind. De westgevel bevat enkele, deels dichtgezette openingen. De zuidgevel grenst aan Groest 110.

Former DYERS, belonging to the factory complex 'Groest 104-106', built in the nineteenth century in Neo-Renaissance style and visually dominant positioned on the west side of the Groest in the centre of Hilversum. The former dyers are placed to the rear, to the south of the former factory section.
Description
Former dyers, in one building, erected on a rectangular ground plan at the height of one storey under a gabled roof with the ridge line perpendicular to the street and covered with black Dutch tiles. The brick outer facades are plastered. The back gutter is supported on iron props. The north facade contains iron round-arch windows and wooden doors. The east facade is blank. The west facade contains some partly blocked openings. The south facade borders on Groest 110.
Valuation
The building in which dyers were situated is of general importance because of its architectural, cultural-historical as well as typological value as a well-preserved example of dyers and as a functionally-spatially component of the factory complex 'Groest 104-106' in Neo-Renaissance style from the nineteenth century, visually dominant positioned on the west side of the Groest in the centre.
