Inleiding
DIENSTWONING van de stationschef uit 1913 naar ontwerp van architect ir. G.W.van Heukelom. In het baanvak Eindhoven-Weert van de Nederlandse Spoorwegen werd in 1912, nu aan de zuidkant van de spoorwegovergang Leenderweg-Oude Stationsstraat, het eilandstation Heeze gebouwd met drie dienstwoningen. Dit station werd in 1977 afgebroken en vervangen door een nieuw meer noordelijk gelegen complex. De drie dienstwoningen liggen aan deze spoorwegovergang. Twee aan de oostkant, waarvan het meest noordelijke het stationschefhuis is. Het derde aan de westkant is het overwegwachtershuis.
Omschrijving
Het stationschefhuis heeft een bouwlaag met een tentdak. Het is gedekt met rode kruispannen. Het huis meet tien bij tien meter. Het ligt parallel aan de spoorlijn. De voor- of zuidgevel ligt aan de kant van de Oude Stationsstraat. De symmetrische gevels bestaan uit drie traveeën. De voor- en achtergevel met de deur in het midden. Het opgaande werk bestaat uit machinale baksteen gemetseld in halfsteensverband met doorlopende rollagen en een plint in kruisverband.
Het huis heeft een rondomlopende kroonlijst met een goot op gesneden klossen. In elk dakvlak een houten kapel met in het midden een gebogen fronton.
De muuropeningen met vierkante aanzetstenen van hardsteen en eenvoudige schuifvensters oorspronkelijk voorzien van onderluiken. De indeling is grotendeels ongewijzigd gebleven met een L-vormige gang, waartussen keuken en kelder liggen. Aangebouwd een houten washok onder plat dak. Verder op het erf een houten schuur onder zadeldak met houten windveren gedekt met rode en blauwe kruispannen. Het opgaande werk van washok en schuur bestaat uit regelwerk bekleed met rabatdelen.
Aan de straat en spoorlijn een ligusterhaag als erfscheiding.
Waardering
De dienstwoning van de stationschef is van algemeen belang. Het pand heeft cultuur-historisch belang als bijzondere uitdrukking van de ontwikkeling van de spoorwegen in het zuiden van Nederland en als voorbeeld van de typologische ontwikkeling van de spoorwegwoningen. Het heeft architectuur-historisch belang door de sobere vormentaal en is tevens van belang voor het oeuvre van de architect Van Heukelom. Het is gaaf bewaard gebleven.

SERVICE DWELLING of the station master from 1913 designed by architect ir. G.W. van Heukelom. In the railway section Eindhoven-Weert of the Dutch Railways, an island station Heeze was built in 1912, now on the south side of the railway crossing Leenderweg-Oude Stationsstraat, with three service dwellings. This station was demolished in 1977 and replaced by a new complex located further north. The three service dwellings are located at this railway crossing. Two on the east side, of which the most northern is the station master's house. The third on the west side is the level crossing keeper's house.
Description
The station master's house has one storey with a tent roof. It is covered with red cross tiles. The house measures ten by ten metres. It lies parallel to the railway line. The front or south facade faces Oude Stationsstraat. The symmetrical facades consist of three bays. The front and rear facade with the door in the middle. The masonry consists of machine-made brick laid in half-bond with continuous roll courses and a plinth in alternating bond.
The house has a running cornice with a gutter on carved corbels. In each roof plane a wooden chapel with a curved pediment in the middle.
The wall openings with square sandstone quoins and simple sash windows originally fitted with lower shutters. The layout has remained largely unchanged with an L-shaped corridor, between which are the kitchen and cellar. Attached a wooden wash house under a flat roof. Further on the plot a wooden shed under a gabled roof with wooden wind-braces covered with red and blue cross tiles. The masonry of wash house and shed consists of timber framing clad with board-and-batten.
At the street and railway line a privet hedge as boundary.
Valuation
The station master's service dwelling is of general importance. The property has cultural-historical importance as a particular expression of the development of the railways in the south of the Netherlands and as an example of the typological development of railway dwellings. It has architectural-historical importance through its sober formal language and is moreover of importance for the oeuvre of architect Van Heukelom. It has been preserved intact.
