Inleiding
Kleine BRUG (complexonderdeel 4) gebouwd tussen 1902 en 1909 als sierelement in de tuinaanleg ten noorden van het jachtslot. De brug is een rustieke imitatie in gewapend beton van een houten bruggetje en ligt op de entree naar het parkbos waarin de wildkelder is gelegen. De brug overspant hier een ondiepe greppel afgezet met zwerfkeien.
Omschrijving
De kleine BRUG heeft een licht hellend brugdek dat aan beide zijden van de ondiepe greppel op een wandelpad aansluit. De brugleuningen zijn opgebouwd uit in beton gegoten, ronde onbewerkte boomstammen- en takken voorzien van noesten en boomschorsstructuur. Elke balustrade bestaat uit drie dikke palen die aan de boven- en onderzijde door liggers in de vorm van boomstammen worden verbonden. De vakken worden opgevuld door diagonaal geplaatste kromme betonnen takken. Aan de zuidwestzijde lopen de leuningen uit op aangegoten imitatie-zwerfkeien.
Waardering
De tussen 1902-1909 gebouwde BRUG (van gewapend beton) bij het jachtslot Mookerheide heeft architectuurhistorische en kunsthistorische waarde als een gaaf bewaard voorbeeld van een kleine sierbrug uitgevoerd in de aan het einde van de negentiende en begin van de twintigste eeuw populaire betonimitaties van natuurhout en natuursteen. Small BRIDGE (complex component 4) built between 1902 and 1909 as an ornamental element in the garden layout to the north of the hunting lodge. The small BRIDGE has a slightly sloping bridge deck which adjoins a footpath on both sides of the shallow ditch. The bridge railings are constructed of round unworked tree trunks and branches cast in concrete, provided with knots and tree bark texture. Each balustrade consists of three thick posts which are connected at the top and bottom by beams in the form of tree trunks. The panels are filled with diagonally placed curved concrete branches. At the south-west side the railings terminate in cast imitation erratic stones.
