Onderdeel 4B
Inleiding
Aan de oostzijde van het voorplein liggen in elkaars verlengde, ter weerszijden van de oprijlaan naar het plein, twee uit rode baksteen opgetrokken, langgerekte bouwhuizen met een L-vormige plattegrond. Oorspronkelijk was de ruimte tussen beide gebouwen overspannen en fungeerde als toegangspoort naar het voorplein.
Omschrijving
Het zuidelijke BOUWHUIS bestaat uit één bouwlaag en een zolder onder een met gesmoorde oud-Hollandse pannen gedekt schilddak en dateert vermoedelijk uit de 17de eeuw. Het deel van het bouwhuis dat grenst aan de doorgang tussen de beide bouwhuizen was in gebruik als rijtuigenstalling. Dit deel heeft aan de voorpleinzijde een dubbele inrijdeur met fraai lijstwerk in Lodewijk XIV-stijl. Aansluitend op deze inrijdeur twee meerruits draaivensters met halfrond bovenlicht voorzien van een spaakroedenverdeling en een gewone toegangsdeur. De andere zijde van het bouwhuis was ingericht als dienstwoning, met dezelfde eenvoudige toegangsdeur en vensters. Aan de uiteinden van het bouwhuis een haaks geplaatste vierkante aanbouw onder een tentdak, voorzien van een toegangsdeur aan de voorpleinzijde, welke bereikbaar is via een trapje. De achtergevels van het bouwhuis is wat indeling betreft in de loop der tijd nogal veranderd. Foto's uit 1958 tonen ter hoogte van het koetshuisgedeelte een blinde muur en daarnaast hoge, dubbele, glazen deuren met getoogd bovenlicht: de oranjerie. Tegenwoordig is deze gevelwand voorzien van meerruits schuifvensters met één centrale deurpartij. Het bouwhuis wordt gedekt door een schilddak. Het dak is voorzien van enkele dakkapellen met meerruits schuifvensters, deels daterend uit de tijd van de restauratie/verbouwing die kort na 1958 plaats vond.
Waardering
Het zuidelijke BOUWHUIS behorende tot de buitenplaats Rijnhuizen is van algemeen belang:
- vanwege de ouderdom;
- vanwege de bijzondere, L-vormige plattegrond;
- vanwege de bijzondere ligging binnen de 17de-eeuwse, formele parkaanleg;
- vanwege de functioneel-ruimtelijke relatie met de andere onderdelen van de buitenplaats.

Introduction
On the east side of the forecourt there lie in line with each other, on either side of the drive leading to the court, two elongated FARM BUILDINGS constructed of red brick with an L-shaped ground plan. Originally the space between both buildings was spanned over and served as an access gate to the forecourt.
Description
The southern FARM BUILDING consists of one storey and an attic beneath a hipped roof covered with plain old-Dutch tiles and dates presumably from the 17th century. The part of the farm building adjoining the passage between the two buildings was used as a carriage house. On the forecourt side this section has a double carriage entrance with fine moulded work in Louis XIV style. Adjacent to this carriage entrance are two multi-pane casement windows with semicircular fanlights fitted with spoke glazing bars and a simple entrance door. The other side of the farm building was fitted out as a service dwelling, with the same simple entrance door and windows. At the ends of the farm building are square extensions set at right angles, beneath a marquee roof, provided with an entrance door on the forecourt side, which is reached via a small flight of steps. The rear façades of the farm building have altered considerably in their arrangement over time. Photographs from 1958 show at the level of the carriage house section a blank wall and next to it tall, double, glazed doors with arched fanlight: the orangery. Nowadays this gable wall is provided with multi-pane sash windows with one central door section. The farm building is covered by a hipped roof. The roof is provided with some dormer windows with multi-pane sash windows, partly dating from the restoration/reconstruction work carried out shortly after 1958.

The southern FARM BUILDING belonging to the country estate Rijnhuizen is of general importance:
