Het omgrachte hoofdgebouw is bereikbaar via een rood bakstenen BRUG met drie bogen, welke voorafgegaan wordt door een zeven treden tellende hardstenen trap. De keermuren zijn aan de bovenzijde voorzien van een hardstenen afdekplaat. De eenvoudige ijzeren brugleuningen zijn samengesteld uit twee regels en balustervormige spijlen, de ruimte tussen het brugdek en de onderste regel wordt opgevuld met sierlijk smeedijzeren krulwerk. Op het niveau van het souterrain bevindt zich vlak boven de waterspiegel een tweede brugdek, dat naar de dienstingang onder de hoofdingang leidt. Deze dienstbrug is vanaf het voorplein bereikbaar via een trap aan de linkerzijde van de brug. De brug dateert vermoedelijk uit de 18de eeuw.

Description
The moated main building is reached via a RED BRICK BRIDGE with three arches, which is preceded by a flight of seven stone steps. The retaining walls are provided with a stone coping at the top. The simple iron bridge railings are composed of two rails and baluster-shaped balusters, the space between the bridge deck and the lower rail being filled with elegant wrought-iron scrollwork. At basement level, directly above the water surface, there is a second bridge deck leading to the service entrance beneath the main entrance. This service bridge is reached from the forecourt via a flight of stairs on the left side of the bridge. The bridge dates presumably from the 18th century.
