Inleiding
De Middeleeuwse entree van de noordoost-zuidwest lopende oprijlaan naar het voorplein van het verdwenen kasteel was oorspronkelijk toegankelijk via een vlakke BOOGBRUG aan de noordoostzijde. De brug stamt in de huidige vorm grotendeels uit de 17de eeuw.
Omschrijving
Restant van grotendeels uit rode baksteen opgetrokken rondboogvormige BOOGBRUG (6) met vlak brugdek en kwartcirkelvormige keermuren waarop natuurstenen dekplaten liggen.
Waardering
De boogbrug van de historische buitenplaats Zuydwijk is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van een 17de-eeuwse boogbrug die de voormalige entree van het verdwenen Laatmiddeleeuwse kasteel markeert.
De brug is goed herkenbaar als zodanig en redelijk gaaf wat betreft het materiaalgebruik.
De brug heeft ensemblewaarde vanwege de ruimtelijke en functionele relatie met de overige complexonderdelen van de buitenplaats.

Introduction
The Medieval entrance of the northeast-southwest running driveway to the forecourt of the disappeared castle was originally accessible via a flat ARCH BRIDGE at the northeast side. The bridge dates in its present form largely from the 17th century.
Description
Remnant of a largely red brick constructed round arch-shaped ARCH BRIDGE (6) with flat bridge deck and quarter-circle-shaped retaining walls on which natural stone coping plates rest.
Valuation
The arch bridge of the historic country estate Zuydwijk is of general interest because of its cultural and architectural-historical value as an example of a 17th-century arch bridge which marks the former entrance of the disappeared Late Medieval castle.
The bridge is clearly recognisable as such and reasonably intact with regard to the use of materials.
The bridge has ensemble value because of the spatial and functional relationship with the other complex components of the country estate.
