Omschrijving
Het MIDDENPAD dat het oude gedeelte van de BEGRAAFPLAATS van de Sint Aldegundisparochie doorsnijd, loopt in noord-zuidrichting en bestaat uit een onverhard pad met laanbeplanting coniferen uit circa 1960 met geschoren stam. Het pad loopt vanaf de poort tot aan de huidige achterzijde van de begraafplaats.
Waardering
De MIDDENLAAN van de begraafplaats heeft ensemblewaarden als essentieel onderdeel van het complex en van de begraafplaats die een belangrijke beeldbepalende rol in het dorpscentrum speelt. De laan vormt in samenhang met de toegangspoort een belangrijke visuele en historische eenheid, en heeft architectuurhistorische waarde omdat het een in karakter gaaf bewaard gebleven middenas is van een kruisvormige aanleg die voor begraafplaatsen in de late negentiende en vroege twintigste eeuw kenmerkend is. The CENTRAL PATH that cuts through the old section of the CEMETERY of the Sint Aldegundisparochie runs in a north-south direction and consists of an unpaved path with avenue planting of conifers from circa 1960 with clipped trunks. The path runs from the gate to the current rear side of the cemetery.
Valuation
The CENTRAL AVENUE of the cemetery has ensemble values as an essential component of the complex and of the cemetery which plays an important visual and defining role in the village centre. The avenue forms, in conjunction with the access gate, an important visual and historical unit, and has architectural-historical value because it is a centreline that has remained intact in character of a cruciform layout which is characteristic of cemeteries in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. The central avenue is of general importance because of the entirety of the aforementioned values.
