Inleiding
HERENHUIS, omstreeks 1880 gebouwd in een eclectische stijl als één woning, later opgedeeld tot twee wooneenheden.
Omschrijving
Tweelaags huis onder een afgeplat schilddak waarvan de nok haaks op de straat staat. De voorgevel is vijf traveeën breed, gepleisterd op een natuurstenen plint en wordt geleed door hoekpilasters, cordonlijsten en een kroonlijst. Het dak is gedekt met oud-Hollandse pannen.
De voorgevel is gepleisterd en telt vijf traveeën. In het midden zit een portiek met openslaande paneeldeuren, beide voorzien van bovenlichten en smeedijzeren roosters. Het portiek heeft een omlijsting, bekroond door een medaillon met uitstekende koeienkop. Erboven is een balkon op grote voluten en met een siersmeedijzeren balkonhek aangebracht. Aan weerszijden van de middentravee bevinden zich T-ramen met kwart-hol afgewerkte hoeken. Onder de vensterbanken zitten natuurstenen consoles. De ramen zijn gevat in een geprofileerde omlijsting met bloemmotief ter plekke van de sluitsteen.
Bovenaan de gevel een kroonlijst op consoles. In het midden is een halfrond fronton geplaatst. Hierin is een rond raam met metalen vierpas roeden gevat.
De linker- en rechterzijgevel zijn wat betreft het voorste gedeelte blind. De achterste helft van de linkergevel heeft schuiframen. Rechts bevinden zich enkele ramen, achteraan latere aanbouwen onder schilddak en plat dak. In de achtergevel zit links een rond raam met metalen kozijn met ronde geometrische roedenverdeling.
Door de achteraanbouwen is de oorspronkelijke achtergevel maar beperkt zichtbaar. Van de achtergevel zijn delen opgetrokken in nieuw metselwerk, er is onder andere een nieuwe serre.
In het interieur is de smalle hoge gang in beide huisnummers bewaard gebleven. Het rechterpand is als kantoor in gebruik, links wordt gewoond. Hier is onder andere links van de gang een kamer-en-suite met twee zwart marmeren schouwen bewaard gebleven.
Waardering
Het pand is van algemeen belang. Het pand is van cultuurhistorisch belang als uitdrukking van een sociaal-economische ontwikkeling. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarde wegens de toegepaste stijlelementen, de kwaliteit van de vormgeving en het materiaalgebruik. Het is gaaf bewaard gebleven.

Description
Two-storey house under a hipped roof with the ridge at right angles to the street. The front facade is five bays wide, plastered on a natural stone plinth and is articulated by corner pilasters, string courses and a cornice. The roof is covered with old Dutch tiles.
The front facade is plastered and has five bays. In the centre is a portico with French doors, both fitted with fanlights and wrought-iron grilles. The portico has an ornamental frame, crowned by a medallion with a projecting ox head. Above it a balcony on large volutes with decorative wrought-iron balcony railing has been installed. On either side of the central bay are T-windows with quarter-round finished corners. Below the window sills are natural stone consoles. The windows are set in a moulded frame with floral motif at the keystone.
At the top of the facade a cornice on consoles. In the centre a semicircular pediment has been placed. Within it is a round window with metal quatrefoil glazing bars.
The left and right side facades are blind as regards the front section. The rear half of the left facade has sash windows. On the right are several windows, at the rear later additions under hipped roof and flat roof. In the rear facade on the left is a round window with metal frame with round geometric glazing bars.
Due to the rear additions the original rear facade is only partially visible. Parts of the rear facade have been rebuilt in new brickwork, there is among other things a new conservatory.
In the interior the narrow high corridor has been preserved in both house numbers. The right building is in use as an office, on the left people live. Here, among other things to the left of the corridor a suite of rooms with two black marble fireplaces has been preserved.
