Inleiding.
De voormalige PASTORIE naast de kerk van de H. Jozef te Noordhoek is een woonhuis in Expressionistische stijl, uitgevoerd in 1921 naar ontwerp van Dom. Paul Bellot O.S.B., met medewerking van H.C. van de Leur.
Omschrijving.
De pastorie is een tweelaags bouwwerk, opgetrokken uit veelkleurige baksteen in kruisverband, onder een schilddak gedekt met verbeterde Hollandse pannen. Het gebouw is door een gang met de kerk verbonden, waarmee het door de blokvormige massa een compositorische eenheid vormt. De gevelindeling toont een afwisseling in de raamindelingen, die de inwendige indeling in woon-, werk- en slaapkamers representeert.
De voorgevel heeft een ingang met trapeziumvormige afsluiting. Verder treffen we in deze gevel en in de overige gevels kruisramen aan met glas-in-lood bovenlichten. De vensterdorpels en de strekken zijn van baksteen. De strekken vertonen siermotieven in kleurige baksteen. Op de verdieping driedelige liggende ramen met een reeks bovenlichten in kleine roedenverdeling. De ramen worden boven de onderdorpels verbonden door een rollaag, waarboven bakstenen mozaïek in koppen en strekken. In de linker zijgevel een blinde erkerachtige uitbouw onder half schilddak. In de rechter zijgevel op de verdieping keperboogramen van het trappenhuis. De verbindingsgang met de kerk bestaat uit een rechthoekig bouwdeel onder schilddak, met geknikte verbinding met de pastorie. In de gevel hier een breed liggend driedelig raam met bovenlicht dat een dubbele deur vervangt en een paneeldeur met zijlicht, beiden onder een polychrome strek.
Waardering.
De pastorie is van algemeen belang. Het gebouw heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als bijzondere uitdrukking van de ontwikkeling van het katholicisme in het zuiden en is tevens van belang als voorbeeld van de typologische ontwikkeling van de dorpspastorie in het Interbellum. Het gebouw heeft architectuurhistorisch belang door de zeer bijzondere stijl en de detaillering in baksteen en is tevens van belang als voorbeeld bij uitnemendheid van het oeuvre van de architect Bellot. In the facade here a broad horizontal three-part window with fanlight that replaces a double door and a panelled door with sidelight, both beneath a polychrome lintel.

The building has cultural-historical significance as a particular expression of the development of Catholicism in the south and is also of significance as an example of the typological development of the village rectory in the Interbellum.
