Inleiding.
Het WOONHUIS dat was bestemd voor de hoofdonderwijzer heeft aan de voorzijde een tuin die door een bakstenen muurtje met ijzeren railing gescheiden is van de straat. Links van het huis ligt een bakstenen helling naar de zij-ingang uit de periode dat de GGD het pand huurde. Aan de achterzijde grenst het pand aan de school en aan de rechterzijde ligt een aanbouw onder zadeldak ter vergroting van de rechterhoekkamer waar de buitenmuur werd doorgebroken en een raam dichtgezet. Voorts zijn aan de binnenzijde de hoofdingang dichtgezet, evenals het middenvenster op de verdieping. In de zuidelijke zijmuur is een dakkapel met drie paar dubbele ramen aangebracht onder plat dak met overkragende lijst.
Omschrijving.
Het ten oosten van het complex gelegen eenlaags pand met zolderverdieping heeft een nagenoeg vierkante plattegrond. Het is opgetrokken in kruisverband baksteen onder een zadeldak met dubbel wolfeind met overstek en is belegd met donkergrijze oud-Hollandse pannen. Aan de zijkanten liggen zinken goten op beugels aan de overkragende dakvoet die op de hoeken door korbelen, ontleend aan de Chalet-stijl, worden gestut. Op het dak twee schoorstenen. De gecementeerde sokkel met plint eindigt met een hoekige cordonlijst onder de vensters. De muuropeningen zijn afgesloten met rechthoekig om de segmentbogen getrokken geprofileerde lijsten, waarin op de begane grond zesruitsschuiframen liggen, op de verdieping vierruitsstolpramen.
Inwendig is door het verleggen van de hoofdingang naar de zijgevel de richting van het huis veranderd: er loopt nu een middendwarsgang naar het trappenhuis met bordestrap met gietijzeren balusters. Links van de zij-ingang ligt het sanitair en een achterkamer met raam. Op de zolderverdieping liggen vier kamers en een badkamer.
Waardering.
Het pand is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van de ontwikkeling van het onderwijs en als typologische ontwikkeling van de onderwijzerswoning. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege de esthetische kwaliteit van het ontwerp. Het heeft ensemblewaarde als onderdeel van een complex waartoe ook het schoolgebouw en het schoolplein behoren en vanwege de karakteristieke ligging met voortuin aan de Voorstraat. De onderwijzerswoning is in de hoofdvorm gaaf bewaard gebleven.

Introduction.
The DWELLING HOUSE that was intended for the head teacher has at the front a garden that is separated from the street by a brick wall with iron railing. To the left of the house lies a brick slope leading to the side entrance dating from the period when the GGD rented the building. At the rear the building adjoins the school and on the right side lies an extension under a gabled roof to enlarge the right-hand room where the outer wall was broken through and a window was blocked up. Furthermore, on the inside the main entrance was blocked up, as well as the centre window on the upper floor. In the southern side wall a dormer window with three pairs of double windows has been inserted under a flat roof with overhanging moulding.
Description.
The single-storey building with an attic floor situated to the east of the complex has an approximately square ground plan. It is built in cross bond brickwork under a gabled roof with double half-hipped end with overhang and is covered with dark grey old-Dutch tiles. On the sides there are zinc gutters on brackets at the overhanging eaves which are supported at the corners by corbels, borrowed from the Chalet style. On the roof two chimneys. The cemmented plinth with base moulding ends with an angled string course below the windows. The wall openings are closed with rectangular profiled mouldings drawn round the segmental arches, in which on the ground floor lie six-pane sash windows, on the upper floor four-pane casement windows.
Internally, by relocating the main entrance to the side facade, the orientation of the house has been changed: there now runs a centre cross passage to the stairwell with a flight of stairs with cast-iron balusters. To the left of the side entrance lies the sanitary facility and a rear room with a window. On the attic floor there are four rooms and a bathroom.
Valuation.
The building is of general importance. It has cultural-historical value as an example of the development of education and as a typological development of the teacher's residence. It has architectural-historical value because of the aesthetic quality of the design. It has ensemble value as part of a complex which also includes the school building and the school grounds and because of the characteristic location with front garden on the Voorstraat. The teacher's residence has been preserved in essentially good condition.
