Inleiding
Klein BAKHUIS, behorend tot het boerderijcomplex aan de Polstraat 52 en gelegen aan de noordzijde van de boerderij. Het bakhuisje in Ambachtelijk-Traditionele stijl dateert uit omstreeks 1900 en bleef uitwendig vrijwel geheel gaaf bewaard. Van de inwendige stookplaats resteert niets.
Omschrijving
Het bakhuisje heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond, één bouwlaag en een zadeldak met de nokrichting haaks op de voorgevel, gedekt met gesmoorde muldenpannen en voorzien van houten windveren met makelaar. Op de nok boven de achtergevel een bakstenen schoorsteen. De gevels zijn gemetseld in baksteen in halfsteens verband. De voorgevel heeft links een ingang met ongeprofileerd kozijn en rollaag aan de bovenzijde. In beide zijgevels een klein venster met rollaag, kozijn met luiksponning en een houten opgeklampt luikje. Het venster in de rechter zijgevel heeft een vierruits schuifraam. De achtergevel is blind uitgevoerd.
Waardering
Het object is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als onderdeel van een gaaf bewaard boerderijcomplex, dat weliswaar zijn oude functie heeft verloren, maar opvalt door de volledigheid en specifieke rangschikking van de verschillende gebouwonderdelen en restanten van de vroegere erfaanleg. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarde als goed en uitwendig gaaf voorbeeld van een klein bakhuis uit omstreeks 1900, gekenmerkt door een zeer eenvoudige opzet, materiaalgebruik en detaillering. Het heeft ensemblewaarden als essentieel onderdeel van een harmonisch geheel, te weten een boerderijcomplex, verder bestaand uit een kortgevelboerderij, een kleine schuur, een grotere voormalige veeschuur, een voormalig toiletgebouwtje, diverse groenelementen en een tuin met hekwerken. The small bakehouse has a rectangular floor plan, one storey and a gabled roof with the ridge direction perpendicular to the front facade, covered with muffled Spanish tiles and provided with wooden wind braces with a bracket. On the ridge above the rear facade a brick chimney. The facades are built of brick in half-bond. The front facade has on the left an entrance with an unprofile frame and a lintel at the top. In both side facades a small window with a lintel, frame with shutter housing and a wooden braced shutter. The window in the right side facade has a four-pane sash window. The rear facade is blind.
Valuation
The object is of general importance. It has cultural-historical value as part of a well-preserved farm complex, which although it has lost its original function, stands out through the completeness and specific arrangement of the various building components and remnants of the former plot layout. It has architectural-historical value as a good and externally well-preserved example of a small bakehouse from around 1900, characterised by a very simple design, material use and detailing.
