Omschrijving onderdeel 10: (Bij Voorsterweg 139; op de bijbehorende kaart aangegeven met nr. 10) TOEGANGSHEK MET BIJBEHORENDE SOKKELS
Het TOEGANGSHEK bestaat uit een draaiend gedeelte bestaande uit een geklonken constructie uit ongeveer 1820, van vierkante staven aan de scharnierende zijde, plattere, aan de boven- en onderzijde bolle platte staven en overigens ronde staven. De vleugels beginnen hoog en worden vloeiend lager naar het midden. In het midden op de naald een vergulde spitse piramide en de staven voorzien van vergulde "peertjes". Het toegangshek werd na jaren in ongebruik te zijn geweest opnieuw aangebracht in 1983, tussen eenvoudige houten geprofileerde hekpalen, in beton gefundeerd. De zijstukken zijn in 1994 toegevoegd. De hekpalen en zijstukken zijn wegens te geringe ouderdom voor de bescherming van ondergeschikt belang. De SOKKELS bij het hek in Lodewijk XIV stijl, zijn gemaakt van een zeer solide soort zandsteen, en dateren vermoedelijk van kort voor 1930. Ze zouden zijn gekopieerd naar dergelijke sokkels op het Landgoed Mataram bij Dalfsen, ook van de Familie De Vos van Steenwijk. Tot 1993 hebben twee grote, rijk gebeeldhouwde 18de-eeuwse bloemenvazen op de sokkels gestaan; tijdens een diefstal is er één gestolen en één is verminkt achtergelaten. Deze is hersteld en in de zuidtuin geplaatst. Op de sokkels staan thans Haddonstone kunststenen vazen die buiten de bescherming vallen.

Description of component 10: (At Voorsterweg 139; indicated on the accompanying map with no. 10) ENTRANCE GATE WITH ASSOCIATED BASES
The ENTRANCE GATE consists of a hinged section made up of a riveted construction from approximately 1820, of square rods on the hinged side, flatter rods convex on the top and bottom edges and otherwise round rods. The wings begin high and taper smoothly towards the middle. In the middle on the pivot a gilded pointed pyramid and the rods provided with gilded "pears". The entrance gate, after years of disuse, was reinstalled in 1983, between simple wooden moulded gate posts, founded in concrete. The side sections were added in 1994. The gate posts and side sections are of subordinate importance due to insufficient age for protection. The BASES at the gate in Louis XIV style are made of a very solid type of sandstone and are presumed to date from shortly before 1930. They are said to have been copied from similar bases at the Estate Mataram near Dalfsen, also belonging to the Family De Vos van Steenwijk. Until 1993, two large, richly carved 18th-century flower vases stood on the bases; during a theft one was stolen and one was left damaged. This has been restored and placed in the south garden. On the bases now stand Haddonstone artificial stone vases which fall outside the protection.
