Omschrijving onderdeel 5: (Voorsterweg 142-144 ; op de bijbehorende kaart aangegeven met nr. 5) DUBBELE BOSARBEIDERSWONING
De dubbele BOSARBEIDERSWONING met een kleinere achterbouw dateert vermoedelijk uit 1860, toen ook de ertegenover liggende beukenlaan werd geplant, in welks as de voorgevel is geplaatst. De woning is in 1960 ingrijpend verbouwd. Het huidige zadeldak (in rode verbeterde Hollandse pan) vervangt een lager, omlopend schilddak in grijze oude Hollandse pannen. Tevens werd de middenpartij, met twee bredere ramen dan de buitenste en daardoor met bijzondere 'dubbele' middenstijl, bekroond door een flauw hellende top met sierlijke daklijst en gezaagde bekroning, met in het midden van de topgevel een bijzonder getoogd raam met roeden. De 4 kozijnen met luiken in de voorgevel (noord) zijn origineel. De buitenste, smallere voorgevelramen behoorden vroeger tot de slaap-opkamer, waaronder een kelder. Thans is er sprake van een grote kamer bij elke woning. De muren zijn opgetrokken in een strakke handvormsteen, gemetseld in kruisverband met dunne lint- en stootvoegen en geknipt gevoegd. In het interieur is de originele constructie (balklagen) en afwerking in de basis nog aanwezig. De vergrote kap herbergt thans de slaapkamers.

Description of component 5: (Voorsterweg 142-144; indicated with no. 5 on the accompanying map) DOUBLE FOREST WORKER'S DWELLING
The double FOREST WORKER'S DWELLING with a smaller rear building probably dates from 1860, when the beech avenue opposite was also planted, along whose axis the front facade is positioned. The dwelling was extensively remodelled in 1960. The current gabled roof (in red improved Dutch tiles) replaces a lower, continuous hipped roof in grey old Dutch tiles. Furthermore, the central section, with two wider windows than the outer ones and therefore with a distinctive 'double' central mullion, was crowned by a shallow-sloped top with an elegant roof line and sawn crest, with in the middle of the top gable a particularly arched window with glazing bars. The 4 window frames with shutters in the front facade (north) are original. The outer, narrower front facade windows originally belonged to the sleeping chamber, below which is a cellar. Now there is a large room in each dwelling. The walls are built in neat handmade bricks, laid in cross-bond with thin mortar and cut-pointing. In the interior, the original construction (floor beams) and finish are still basically present. The enlarged roof truss structure now houses the bedrooms.
