Inleiding
Langs de westzijde van de Duin en Kruidbergerweg gesitueerd HEK, deel uitmakend van het complex landgoed Duin en Kruidberg. Het waarschijnlijk rond 1912 als oostelijke begrenzing van het landgoed Duin en Kruidberg geplaatste hek slingert zich over een lengte van ongeveer 700 meter vanaf de voormalige chauffeurswoning Duin en Kruidbergerweg 74 in het zuiden tot aan de noordelijke grens van het landgoed.
Omschrijving
Circa 1 meter hoog en 700 meter lang smeedijzeren spijlenhek met een eenvoudige vormgeving bestaande uit aan de achterzijde geschoorde staafvormige hekpalen waartussen hekdelen. De hekdelen tellen elf hoge vierkante spijlen afgewisseld met lage ronde spijlen. Alle spijlen hebben een gepunte bovenzijde. De hoge spijlen zijn in het midden getorst. In het deel van het hek ten zuiden van de voormalige tuinmanswoning (Duin en Kruidbergerweg 70) en ten noorden van het voormalige stalgebouw (Duin en Kruidbergerweg 52-58) zijn de hoge spijlen bovenaan naar binnen omgebogen om het oversteken van wild vanuit het landgoed over de Duin en Kruidbergerweg te beletten.

Along the west side of the Duin en Kruidbergerweg located FENCE, forming part of the estate complex Duin en Kruidberg. The fence, probably placed around 1912 as the eastern boundary of the estate Duin en Kruidberg, winds over a length of approximately 700 metres from the former chauffeur's lodge Duin en Kruidbergerweg 74 in the south to the northern boundary of the estate.
Description
Approximately 1 metre high and 700 metres long wrought-iron paling fence with a simple design consisting of rod-shaped fence posts braced on the rear side between which are fence panels. The fence panels have eleven tall square palings alternated with short round palings. All palings have a pointed top. The tall palings are morticed in the middle. In the section of the fence to the south of the former gardener's house (Duin en Kruidbergerweg 70) and to the north of the former stable building (Duin en Kruidbergerweg 52-58) the tall palings at the top are bent inward to prevent game from crossing from the estate over the Duin en Kruidbergerweg.
