Inleiding
Het TOEGANGSHEK loopt evenwijdig aan het Munsterplein en vormt de toegangspoort tot het binnenplein van het Louisa-pension en het Godshuis. Beide gebouwen zijn rijksbeschermd. De toegangspoort dateert uit 1935.
Omschrijving
Het TOEGANGSHEK is symmetrisch van opbouw en bestaat uit een metalen hekwerk op baksteen onderbouw met hardsteen deklaag.
Centraal bevindt zich een driedelige poort, waarvan de twee buitenste in afzonderlijke baksteen muren in kruis- en koppenverband met plint onder hardsteen. In deze rondboogvormige poorten bevinden zich decoratieve hekwerken. De muren hebben pilasters aan de zijden van de centrale poort. De gehele muur wordt gedekt door een deksteen en ter plaatse van de pilasters door een hardstenen bol. Tussen beide pilasters bevindt zich de centrale entree met twee hardstenen stootstenen, een tweedelig hekwerk met gewelfde bovenkant, onder een eveneens gewelfd hekwerk met de tekst "Louisapension" en het jaartal "1935". De baksteen muren en pilasters zijn geprofileerd bij de aansluiting van een hekwerk.

De toegangspoort met toegangshek vormt een essentieel onderdeel van het achtergelegen Godshuis en Louisapension, die beide rijksbeschermd zijn. The ENTRANCE GATE is symmetrical in construction and consists of metalwork on a brick substructure with hardstone coping.
Centrally located is a three-part gate, of which the two outer sections are in separate brick walls in header and stretcher bond with a plinth beneath hardstone. These round-arched gates contain decorative ironwork. The walls have pilasters at the sides of the central gate. The entire wall is topped by a coping stone and at the pilasters by a hardstone ball. Between both pilasters is the central entrance with two hardstone quoins, a two-part ironwork frame with a vaulted top, beneath an equally vaulted ironwork frame bearing the text "Louisapension" and the year "1935". The brick walls and pilasters are moulded at the junctions of the ironwork.
