Omschrijving
Omschrijving onderdeel 5: WALMUUR.
In oorsprong XV of ouder; grootste deel in de 20e eeuw in smallere vorm met nieuwe baksteen vernieuwd; zuidelijk stuk -meer dan een meter breed- nog origineel, zij het in ruïneuze staat; groot formaat baksteen; in dit deel bevindt zich nog een oude schietopening. Op de noordwest-, zuidwest- en zuidoostpunt van de muur bevinden zich -meest ondergronds- restanten van ronde hoektorens.
Waardering
WALMUUR, van algemeen belang:
- vanwege de ouderdom;
- vanwege de relatieve uniciteitswaarde;
- vanwege de cultuurhistorische, ornamentele en -eertijds- functionele waarden.

Description component 5: RAMPART WALL.
Originally 15th century or older; greater part in the 20th century renewed in a narrower form with new brick; southern section — more than a metre wide — still original, albeit in ruinous condition; large-format brick; in this section there is still an old firing opening. At the north-west, south-west and south-east points of the wall are — mostly underground — remains of round corner towers.
