HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG behorende tot de buitenplaats Neerijnen.
De hoofdstructuur van de aanleg wordt gevormd door een rechthoekig lanencarré, waarbij het huis met voorburcht en omringend parkbos aan de kopse zuidwestzijde is gesitueerd. Het formele lanenstelsel dateert in aanleg vermoedelijk uit de 18de eeuw (of ouder). Het huis met voorburcht ligt in een ruime gracht en wordt omsloten door een parkbos met rondgaande wandeling. In het parkbos staan verschillende oude bomen (plataan, taxussen, eik en beuk); vanaf de oostzijde lopen zichten in noordoostelijke richting over het door lanen omsloten rechthoekig weiland (het eerder genoemde lanencarré). De lanen zijn beplant met eiken en aan de zuidzijde met populieren; midden in het weiland staat een groep opgaand geboomte met een hekje rondom vermoedelijk een grafmonument. Aan de zuidwestzijde wordt het buiten ontsloten door een rechte toegangs- annex zichtlaan komende vanaf de Waalbandijk en loodrecht geprojecteerd op de voorburcht, het huis staat hier dwars op. Voor de voorburcht ligt rechts van de toegangslaan de deels ommuurde deels omhaagde moestuin -thans voor een deel als parkeerplaats in gebruik- en links een lobvormig weilandje met wandelpad omzoomd door naaldbomen (pinetum). Deze kleinschalige aanleg staat op de Topografische Militaire Kaart van 1887 aangegeven en is vermoedelijk gerealiseerd ten tijde van de bouw van het neogotische kerkje uit 1865, dat direct ten zuiden van de moestuin is gebouwd. Vanaf de rondwandeling zijn zichten over het weiland, waarbij het kerkje als een romantisch stoffage-object functioneert. Aan de overzijde van de Van Pallandtweg ligt een parkgedeelte, grenzend aan de terreinen van Waardenburg, dat door middel van een uitgespaarde zichtas met de aanleg rondom het kasteel Neerijnen verbonden is (zie Topografische Militaire Kaart 1867-1921). Het parkdeel heeft een centrale weide met bos rondom en een slingerende rondwandeling; vanaf de meest westelijke laan zichten over de landschappelijk ingerichte verbindingszone tussen Neerijnen en Waardenburg dat naar ontwerp van tuinarchitect Springer in 1922 en 1980-1981 aangelegd is.

HISTORIC GARDEN AND PARK LAYOUT belonging to the country estate Neerijnen.
The main structure of the layout is formed by a rectangular lane square, with the house with forecourt and surrounding park woodland situated at the narrow southwestern side. The formal lane system dates in its layout presumably from the 18th century (or older). The house with forecourt lies in an extensive moat and is enclosed by park woodland with a circumambulatory path. In the park woodland stand various old trees (plane, yew, oak and beech); from the east side, views run in a northeasterly direction over the rectangular meadow enclosed by lanes (the aforementioned lane square). The lanes are planted with oaks and on the southern side with poplars; in the middle of the meadow stands a group of tall trees with a fence around it, presumably a grave monument. On the southwestern side the estate is accessed by a straight access and view lane coming from the Waalbandijk and projected perpendicular to the forecourt, the house stands here transversely. In front of the forecourt to the right of the access lane lies the partly walled partly hedged kitchen garden—now partly used as a car park—and to the left a lobate meadow with a walking path bordered by conifers (pinetum). This small-scale layout is indicated on the Topographic Military Map of 1887 and was presumably realized at the time of the construction of the neo-gothic chapel from 1865, which was built directly south of the kitchen garden. From the circumambulatory path are views over the meadow, with the chapel functioning as a romantic ornamental object. On the opposite side of Van Pallandtweg lies a park section, bordering the grounds of Waardenburg, which is connected by means of an open vista axis with the layout around castle Neerijnen (see Topographic Military Map 1867-1921). The park section has a central meadow with woodland around and a winding circumambulatory path; from the westernmost lane views over the landscaped transitional zone between Neerijnen and Waardenburg, which was designed by landscape architect Springer in 1922 and 1980-1981.
