Inleiding
De toren wordt geflankeerd door een vernieuwd smeedijzeren hekwerk met bakstenen hekpalen waarop gietijzeren neogotische BEELDEN.
Omschrijving
Op de bakstenen hekpalen met gecementeerde plint twee gietijzeren engelen, ca. 150 cm. hoog en wit geschilderd. Ten noorden van de toren een engel met bazuin, aan de zuidzijde een engel met een slapend kind op de arm.
Waardering
Het hek met beelden is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een sociale en geestelijke ontwikkeling, in het bijzonder de ontwikkeling van de katholieke grafcultuur. Het heeft kunsthistorisch belang als voorbeeld van neogotische beeldhouwkunst in het bijzondere materiaal gietijzer. Het heeft ensemblewaarde vanwege de bijzondere situering verbonden met de ontwikkeling van het kerkdorp. Het is gaaf bewaard gebleven en vanwege het materiaalgebruik betrekkelijk zeldzaam.

On the brick gateposts with cemented plinth two cast-iron angels, approximately 150 cm. high and painted white. North of the tower an angel with trumpet, on the southern side an angel with a sleeping child in her arms.

The railing with statues is of general importance. It has cultural-historical value as a distinctive expression of a social and spiritual development, in particular the development of Catholic burial culture. It has art-historical importance as an example of Neo-Gothic sculpture in the distinctive material cast-iron. It has ensemble value because of the distinctive location connected with the development of the church village. It has been preserved intact and because of the material use is relatively rare.
