Inleiding
De Neo-Gotische GRAFKAPEL bevindt zich op het kerkhof, achter de voormalige kerk. De kapel, gesticht door pastoor J.H. Kemps, werd omstreeks 1893 gebouwd naar een ontwerp van C. Franssen.
Omschrijving
Het eenlaags pand op rechthoekige plattegrond is opgetrokken in handvorm bakstenen en heeft een hoog bakstenen basement met hardstenen druiplijst. Op de hoeken steunberen met hardstenen afdekplaten. Het geheel wordt gedekt door een schilddak gedekt met lei in Maasdekking.
Aan de westzijde een topgevel met zandstenen rand met granaatappelmotief waarin een diepe spitsboognis met hardstenen dorpel en zandstenen banden. In de nis een gietijzeren calvariegroep. Boven in de topgevel ingemetseld een zandstenen relief met een vierpas waarin het Christusmonogram temidden van de letters Alpha en Omega. In de zuidgevel bevindt zich een spitsboogvenster met (nu verdwenen) glas-in-loodvulling. In de oostgevel een opgeklampte deur met geheng waarboven een blinde spitsboognis met tracering. De hardstenen dorpel is geplaatst op de druiplijst. De achtergevel is blind. De gevels worden aan de bovenzijde beeindigd door een bakgoot op een geprofileerde zanden bakstenen rollaag. The Neo-Gothic MORTUARY CHAPEL is situated on the churchyard, behind the former church. The chapel, founded by chaplain J.H. Kemps, was built around 1893 according to a design by C. Franssen.

The single-storey building on rectangular plan is constructed of hand-formed brickwork and has a tall brick basement with sandstone drip moulding. At the corners buttresses with sandstone capping. The whole is covered by a hipped roof covered with slate in Maas bonding.
On the west side a stepped gable with sandstone edging with pomegranate motif containing a deep pointed-arch niche with sandstone threshold and sandstone bands. In the niche a cast-iron calvary group. Above in the stepped gable a sandstone relief set in with a quatrefoil containing the Christogram in the midst of the letters Alpha and Omega. In the south gable is a pointed-arch window with (now missing) stained-glass infill. In the east gable an affixed door with hinges above which a blind pointed-arch niche with tracery. The sandstone threshold is placed on the drip moulding. The rear gable is blank. The gables are terminated at the top by a brick gutter on a profiled and brick roll-course. On the roof and stepped gable metal cross-finials. In the basement on the front four graves under segmental arch: 1. J.A.
