Omschrijving onderdeel 14: TUINMUUR
De tuinmuur behorende bij buitenplaats De Colckhof, is in opdracht van F.K. baron van Dedem in het begin van de twintigste eeuw gebouwd. Het is een manshoge muur in rode baksteen opgetrokken en voorzien van ezelsrug, tussen vierkante gemetselde pijlers met vierzijdige bekroningen. De muur maakt deel uit van de tuinaanleg van architect J. Voorde in de zuidwestelijke hoek van de buitenplaats. Van Dedem wilde in de landschappelijke aanleg met open ruimten en waterpartijen een villa laten bouwen, wat echter nooit is gebeurd. De tuinmuur staat ten zuidwesten van het huis De Colckhof en ten noorden van de tuinmanswoning.

Description component 14: GARDEN WALL
The garden wall belonging to the country estate De Colckhof was built at the beginning of the twentieth century on the instruction of F.K. baron van Dedem. It is a man-high wall constructed of red brick and fitted with a saddle back, between square masonry pillars with four-sided crowns. The wall forms part of the garden layout by architect J. Voorde in the southwestern corner of the country estate. Van Dedem wanted to have a villa built in the landscape design with open spaces and water features, but this never happened. The garden wall stands to the southwest of the house De Colckhof and to the north of the gardener's cottage.
