Omschrijving onderdeel 13: TUINMANSWONING
In ca. 1919 gebouwde tuinmanswoning, behorend bij buitenplaats De Colckhof, in opdracht van F.K. baron van Dedem in Cottage-stijl gebouwd. De tuinmanswoning is opgetrokken in rode baksteen over één bouwlaag op een T-vormige plattegrond onder een samengesteld overstekend rietgedekt dak. Twee eindgevels bevinden zich onder wolfeinden, één onder een schilddak. Bovendien lopen in de oksels van het huis twee dakschilden lager door, om een afdak voor de twee ingangen te vormen. Bij de voordeur, een paneeldeur met bovenlicht, steunt het dakschild op een kolommetje, bij de achteringang op een houten wand met glas. De gevels zijn geleed door rechtgesloten schuifvensters onder strekken, met een fijne roedenverdeling en behangen met luiken van De Colckhof: een schuine baan met twee witte en twee blauwe ruitvormen op een rode ondergrond met een zwarte rand. Onder de wolfeinden getoogde vensters en in het schilddak een ingedekte rondboogvormige dakkapel. De nok van het dak is gedekt met vorstpannen en voorzien van pironnen en twee gemetselde schoorstenen met tentdakjes. De tuinmanswoning staat in de tuinaanleg van architect J. Voorde in de zuidwestelijke hoek van de buitenplaats. Van Dedem wilde in dit landschappelijke deel van de aanleg met open ruimten en waterpartijen een villa laten bouwen, wat echter nooit is gebeurd. Aan de achterzijde van de woning staat een tuinmuur.

Description component 13: GARDENER'S DWELLING
Gardener's dwelling built circa 1919, belonging to country estate De Colckhof, built at the commission of F.K. baron van Dedem in Cottage style. The gardener's dwelling is constructed in red brick over one storey on a T-shaped plan under a complex overhanging thatched roof. Two end gables are under half-hipped ends, one under a hipped roof. Moreover, in the hip valleys of the house two roof slopes run lower to form a lean-to for the two entrances. At the front door, a panelled door with fanlight, the roof slope is supported on a small column, at the rear entrance on a wooden wall with glass. The facades are articulated by straightedged sash windows under continuous lintels, with fine glazing bars and hung with shutters from De Colckhof: an oblique band with two white and two blue diamond shapes on a red ground with a black border. Under the half-hipped ends arched windows and in the roof slope an inserted semicircular-arched roof dormer. The ridge of the roof is tiled with frost tiles and provided with roof finials and two brick chimneys with tent roof caps. The gardener's dwelling stands in the garden layout by architect J. Voorde in the southwestern corner of the country estate. Van Dedem wanted to have a villa built in this landscaped section of the layout with open spaces and water features, but this never happened. On the rear side of the dwelling stands a garden wall.
